You'd also probably break a knee cap as opposed to banging your shin.

It looks like Andersen nor Reece makes the greaseless hardballs in 2" size anymore.

Sounds interesting, but don't you still need to grease the coupler which would then get grease on the nylon?

It is a fact that my soon to be 9 year old grandson has an inseam about 4 inches less than mine. It's also a fact that I have long enjoyed the old novelty tune Mr. Five by Five. I knew two people over the years who very much resembled the description in that song and both were good friends of mine. My old parks and rec director, a fairly tall woman of German descent, used to call me Stubby.

I'd leave it dry, defeat the purpose of the ball if you greased the coupler.

okay please explain the logic behind giving someone a ticket for having a stinger on a vehicle with no trailer attached?

are they trying to imply that if you do, that you are a thief and trolling for trailers?

Probably something to do with having something extend beyond the normal dimensions of the vehicle and bumper. It is not flagged or equipped with warning lights... Just guessing, but probably in the Vehicle Code.....

My guess is to raise money for the state. Remember when red meant stop, green meant go and amber meant the light was getting ready to turn red? Now, with cameras at traffic lights, the municipalities make money while auto body shops get work from all the collisions caused by drivers slamming on brakes to avoid Tickets!

In the event of a rear end collision, a stinger will penetrate the bumper of the rear vehicle and cause more damage than a collision in which the bumpers meet. That could also be part of their rationale. But, it's true that many state governments never met a new law or fine they didn't like.

its seems in Texas they don't give tickets for this since so many vehicles are driving with stingers and no trailer...guess keeping track of all the various laws in each state as it pertains to towing an rv is going to be a constant headache....
