Wild Chilliwack in 2015
Lets hope 2016 will be a little more quieter
"This street corner in Chilliwack, British Columbia is a real hotspot for petty crime. In this video you can what was captured by a home security camera system in 2015: cars going backwards, arrests, attempted break-ins, drivers doing stupid things, pedestrians making weird noises, trespassers, car chases, beatdowns, muggings, brawls, burglary, and fire hydrant vandalism"

Wow - talk about the makings of paranoia. Maybe that one should be posted on the thread discussing insurance needs while trailers are stored!

Without the info I would have guessed Detroit, not anywhere in Canada.

Maybe that explains why Escape has three dogs in the compound. The dogs work in shifts, not sure of their schedule but they have frequent days off. On work days they are up all night patrolling the grounds. I have seen the dogs and they are friendly around the office but they do not look like something to mess with.

I suspect that the video of criminal activity in Chilliwack is misleading. In many towns, there's that one place in town to avoid, and it's usually only 2 or 3 criminals that make it that way. Once folks have had enough and the rabble is gone, the whole area goes back to normal.

Too many juvenile delinquents and thieves who like to walk down the street dropping F-bombs at the top of their lungs. Get rid of that and I don't see anything abnormal. But that poor stop sign...

Looks like typical entitled kids, many of which probably lack impulse control. This happens in a lot of neighborhoods including gate guarded ones. Lock your vehicles, doors and windows and don't confront them with bad behavior(you cannot win the argument), just call police.

Lol...nobody said anything about following them like a cop wannabe. Just talking about defending one's property.

I can remember what parents and grandparents said about my generation when I was young (I am 62).

Same here, for sure. But, I don't recall us committing burglaries and thefts or destroying property. There was no such thing as a mob of kids doing "smash and grab" either. Maybe it was just the group I ran with.

Most of the statistics I see out there shows a decline in violent crimes in the 10-17 age group since 1980. Don't see anything on the last 3-4 years yet, but imagine it's pretty close to 2012.
https://www.ojjdp.gov/ojstatbb/crime...asp?ID=qa05201
I'd have to see the 60's and 70's to hit my group, but imagine it was higher then with the need to buy drugs that was so prevalent.

In my neighborhood anyone of those events would have everyone talking about it for days on end. And probably taking action to make sure that it didn't happen again.
Location is everything. You have to feel sorry for the decent people that live in the area.
