13, 15 or even 17 Older Model Escape Trailer

Long time lurker in the forum but this in my first post. After a year and a bit of research we are ready to find our first TT and Escape is at the top of the list.

We are looking for an older model as we are a young family and do not have quite the budget for new/newer models.

I have access to a shop and do not mind doing the work that comes with a pre-loved model, so even if it's not in perfect shape we are interested.

Would consider anything between a 13 and 17 size, I know that is quite a difference but sometimes to find a jem you have to be flexible.

Thank you in advance
Tyler

Welcome Tyler, and good luck on your search.

Keep an eye on the Classifieds threads here on the forum.

You might also want to join fiberglassrv.com and keep an eye out there as well. Usually Escape owners post here first, but I've seen a couple ads for a used Escape on FGRV and not here.

Cheers!

Thanks rbryan4, really looking forward to joining the "owners" community and not just the "wishers" one

I'll keep a close eye on FGRV as well!

You might also try Fiberglass RV's For Sale, which is a web site that consolidates ads from other sites. You would still need to search it specifically for Escapes, but at least it picks out only the moulded fiberglass brands, and gathers them from places you might not individually check. Selecting Escape in Canada from the drop-down lists at the top, there is currently just that Prince George 17' listed in the size range of interest.

I had taken a look at that 17B up in Prince George but if we did find a 17' model it would probably have to be a few years older as the one up there is a bit out of our price range. Nice unit though!

Tyler,
I'd also talk to Escape
I've known of a trailer that came in on trade that went up for sale.
Perhaps they would take your name and call you if something comes in.

FYI its nice to see a young family looking for an Escape.

Tyler,

One thing to remember about Escapes - they've only been around for 10 years. Even the "older" ones (like the 2008 model in the link above) hold their resale value very well.

True. That's a reason to look for the 17-foot model, or at least be willing to consider that large: it's the original Escape model, and so can be older and potentially cheaper.
