CA: Anyone Canceling a Factory Order for an Escape 17B or 19?

Looks like I missed the ETI production schedule for 2015.
I'm looking to see if anyone here may have to cancel a factory order, for their 2015 Escape 17B or Escape 19 trailer. I'd be willing to discuss taking over the invoice. Send me a PM.

Thanks Folks,

Charley

If you are talking production the 15 is no longer made.

Thanks for the heads up Jim. I just thought I may catch one in production scheduled for a 2015 finish date.

They had a couple 2015's in production but they were sold to a specific customer. They also had 3 at the factory that were already built and those sold within a week or so after they announced the model was being discontinued. You could always ask, but to my knowledge there are no 15's available anymore from the factory.

The Hunt is on...

Well Folks,

I'm a little disappointed to learn that my bank will not finance a new Trailer directly from ETI

So the hunt is on for a previously loved Escape!

I'd shop for another lender but...
The no down payment option and great rate I was offered at my bank, would be hard to beat.

Hi: Charley... Being turned down for that reason...I'd be looking to move banks no matter how good the deal was. To me, the bank wants some protection from an RV dealer being in the middle. It's not a good financial deal if you can't have the trailer you want!!! Alf

It does not matter that your bank does not require a down payment or that they have great interest rates, .... they did not approve your loan! Loyalty to them in those circumstances does not make any sense. Go apply at some other banks. Unless the terms are terrible, almost any approval elsewhere will beat what your bank is offering.

I would expect that the exchange rate advantage would more than make up for the bank rate. Buy new and you get it your way. I doubt if the bank will give you nothing down and a great rate on used.

As someone that barely missed a 2014 trailer, I can tell you that the difference between a 2015 and 2016 is about 2 weeks. Unless you have December camping plans, it doesn't make much difference.

My insurance company and the state DMV were a bit finicky about ETI. It was all doable; but they aren't quite large enough to be on everyone's radar, yet. I'd find another bank.

I was once advised to, "follow the bank manager". He knows your history.
If your current lender doesn't want to work with you, switch lenders. The moment you find a new lender, move ALL accounts, Visas, safe deposit boxes, etc. into the new lenders financial institution. Then tell the old lender why you moved.

Yes, only two weeks. But a price increase also! And don't forget about those current exchange rates.

Hi: J Mac... "Bin there... done that". Only thing I kept there was a line of credit with a 0 balance. Alf

You might look into credit unions. Mine had no problem with a Canadian company, and provided a great rate...

Sometimes you have to get creative when shopping for money. In my case, I wanted a travel trailer but would also need a new TV to tow it ($$$)! Vehicle loans are way cheaper and easier to get than RV loans, personal or equity loans. So, I sold my car, paid for the trailer in cash, and took out a loan on a new vehicle. I know every situation is different, but look to exploit unique opportunities.
