13 Escape

It has been my observation that roughly one or sometimes two 13's come up for advertised public sale each year. They usually do not last long. Know what you're willing to pay, be either very trusting or ready to travel/ pick up, have immediate access to either deposit grade cash and or certified check draw on an account. It can be done but it's like a rabbit running for a brush pile, it won't be long before he's gone.
Smith, strike while the iron is red hot, that's when it will forge.
Iowa Dave Smith.

Paint

Just like anything else, if you don't like the color you can paint it. Don't let cushions, floors, counter tops or exterior colors stop you. They can all be changed out. Add the cost in and decide what you can live with or without.

I have the 15A

My 15A is still available. It is in great condition, and the paint was done professionally. We did just drop the price to what I paid for it before all the additions. We had a 13' Uhaul, and just having that extra length made the difference in comfortable sleeping! Also, can't really tell any difference in towing. Let me know if you have any questions. Kim

Would like to know more about the 15’A. I have not found a good site to show it and the picture/lay out I have seen on your add are not clear. Do you have more pictures? What is the total weight? DOes anyone know about import fees? We are Canadians and would be bringing it across ... Claire

15 Brochure should help. Of course the seller needs to give details of their particular trailer.

I will post some more interior photos tomorrow. Dry weight is 1760. I imported it from Canada and got all the paperwork needed directly from Escape Industries. Once in the U.S., I had to get it registered with the local Dept. of Vehicles and pay the registration and sales tax fees. I don't remember any import fees. Escape would probably be able to help you with the necessary papers for registering in Canada. They were awesome and knew what we needed.

Importing

I will post additional pictures tomorrow. Dry weight is 1760. When I imported into the U.S., Escape gave me the necessary papers to do so. I had to pay sales tax and registration fees, but do not remember an import fee. Once in Canada, I am sure Escape Industries could provide the same papers needed for Canada.

I am selling my 2009-13B, mint, $16,500. As you know, very rare - only 9 made! 1,240 lbs dry weight so can tow with a standard SUV with 2,000 towing capacity.
I'm in Washington state. Haven't posted, yet, so let me know if still looking.

Escape would not be involved in reimporting a trailer into Canada. The Canadian buyer would have to bring the trailer into Canada, pay the federal tax at the border then provincial (unless AB) on registering in their province. Also they'd have to do the RIV thing (Registrar of Imported Vehicles) even though it was made in Canada, paying $300 and taking it to be inspected.
