Escape cover for 19'

I note that Escape no longer offers the custom cover for the 19-foot as an option.

Have any of you Escape 19' owners moved your trailer under a roof, eliminating the need for your fabric cover?

To reduce the shipping cost, or to facilitate pickup in person, it would be especially good if you live in or near British Columbia.

I realize, too, that once a cover is out of its original packaging, it's impossible to ship and difficult to transport.

We live on Gabriola Island and have the Escape supplied cover - I'm guessing that qualifies as a "fabric" cover? Anyway, we used it on our 2008 5.0 and now on our new 5.0. We have no undercover option and live on a property full of trees with the inherent loveliness and messiness. The cover has survived wind storms off the ocean, snow, ice, and pine needles. An undercover option would be my preference, but since we don't have one, or a convenient place to put one, this cover has done the job.

Thanks, Christine and Les. Your storage location sounds like ours, with copious amounts of "tree debris" falling every time the wind blows hard off the Straight. I'm glad the Escape cover is working for you.

Here's the solution I settled on for our 19. This canopy has been available at Costco. What you see here was an older one given me by my neighbor and modified by me to fit the trailer. It was initially too low so made up a 12 inch high base (not seen here) for each of the verticle posts. Tom only had the frame tubes. I bought a $50 12 ft x 20 foot tarp for the roof.

We get high winds where I live. Think I got it anchored down ok, but this first winter will be interesting.

Yes, Jim, have been thinking about that. Now that you mention it, also considering getting a decal made up for the (factory) spare tire cover. We have plenty of red maple leafs back east in NJ, so no issue there politically, but now thinking oak leaf clusters might be nice. Here's my tenative design.

I have done the same as Myron, our CostCo tent structure is 12 ft x 20 ft and we have lifted it off the ground by placing 4x6 cedar blocks under each post. Each post is screwed to the block and the corner blocks are bolted to an underground large plastic spike so it doesn't move around in the wind. While we get little snow on Vancouver Island, when it does snow I have to remove it after any buildup. I prefer a structure that can withstand a snow load and does not need for the top canopy to be replaced every 3-4 years but for now works fine.
