12 days and counting.....

Can't believe it's almost here! We leave for Chilliwack in 12 days....assembling massive amounts of crap to throw in the back of the truck so we're sort of ready to head out, although the first 3 days camping will be on sister in laws property on Whidbey Island....hopefully they won't be too cheap to let us plug in!....then on to see other trailer friends for 2 days I n Sequim on the Olympic peninsula, who have full hookups at their home overlooking the Dungeness lighthouse.....then we begin actual camping without the benefit of friends!
Will make our way down southern Washington coast, Oregon coast, northern Calif. coast, then cut inland around Eureka to McArthur Burney Falls, then home to Tahoe. 2 1/2 weeks total, can't wait!!....Karen & Peter

Your trip sounds great! Lots of time to get used to everything! So exciting!!
We have 20 days til our build sheet is due and 82 days until we head out for Chilliwack!! Seems like forever that we've been waiting. So thankful for the forum members who have been so very helpful!
Congratulations!

Funny, I think when we hit the point of the build sheet due in 20 days, I recall thinking "I can't do this anymore, plus the ladies at Escape are probably ready to stop taking my calls" so let's just end the agony and sign off on it!.........Karen

Yay! I recently spent a week at the Sunset Bay State Park in Coos Bay, Oregon in a 32' motor home. I really enjoyed the campsite. Lots to see in the area. We even saw some grey whales! Probably the tail end of the migration, though.

If you stay there, your cell probably won't work. When I got there I had to use a *public payphone* for the first time in many years! I had to call my friend to let her know I had arrived.

Safe travels home!

Watch out. That 'crap' can come in pretty handy.

One word of warning about the place. When I got there, my spot was #A10, which is in the front part on the right. I didn't realize it was a back in spot, until I pulled in and started to hook up. Took me a few moments to figure out why I couldn't connect up - everything was on the wrong side. I had to back out and then drive through the yurt area so I could back in.

Other than that, everything was great about the place. Helpful and friendly hosts that helped to keep the place very clean and tidy.

Karen, 11 days and counting. What I can't figure out is with the deadline approaching for the build sheet, the time was flying. Now with all of the paperwork done and waiting for the trailer to be built, the time has slowed way down. Go figure. Loren

You had a deadline, which always seems to make the time fly. Now you dont.
