1500W Inverter Option for 19' Escape

We got our deposit in today for a 2017 - delivery in March. So excited - since we missed out on last years! We have a question about the Build Sheet. What is the benefit of ordering the Inverter.

You can run 110 volt items including the microwave when not hooked up to shore power. If you order this option dual six volt batteries and maybe even solar should be considered.

This was one of the items I stumbled all over when working on my build sheet for Ten Forward. I knew how I had camped in the past, but the future truly is unknown. I know my knowledge, skills and abilities would prevent me from rewiring the trailer. In the end, I went all in and got the 1500 watt inverter and all plugs wired for it's use. May never use it that way, but at least I'm never going to short change myself based on where/when I can camp. Best of luck in your decision.

The final decision does vary for everyone, as nobody has exactly the same camping style.

Like Doug alluded to the whole reason is to get 120V AC when not connected to the grid. Our style of camping has never been reliant on anything we use being 120V, so we never got the microwave, nor the inverter.

An inverter can be added at a later date, with minimal effort. But, if you at all think that you would want to use some 120V devices, getting it now would be wise.

We have solar, dual 6v batteries and boondock a fair bit so the inverter was a given. Don't boondock or have the means to manage the power demands of an inverter then I would not get one.

If I'm not mistaken, the only thing that you cannot run with the inverter is the air conditioner.

Of course, if the current draw on your device is too high, you will quickly run down your batteries.
