Re: 19ft Escape - Progress
Finally....after 3 weeks, we have a 19' plug to work with. It's nice to see what we actually have to work with now! Over the next month we will refine the finish for the new molds....

Re: 19ft Escape - Progress
Ian and I are so excited about this, and so appreciative of your photos with the progress. It is particularly intriguing to us because we are completely unfamiliar with how these trailers are made. I am saving all the pictures as a reminder of the extraordinary work you people are doing. I think everyone interested in Escape trailers would be thrilled to know about the process? Thank you for everything! Jenny and Ian

Re: 19ft Escape - Progress
This looks great Reace -an amazing amount of work since I last saw it in your shop. Does your latest picture reflect the overall trailer height or is there still a couple of inches to be developed on top as part of the next refinment step?
best regards - Keath

Re: 19ft Escape - Progress
Hi Keath
Yes, the raised portion of the roof will be added later to give us 6'-4" headroom!
Tomorrow it will be reinforced on the inside and then rolled over onto its roof. We want to tackle the wheel wells and floor first. I was looking closer at the photo of the plug.....notice the sledge hammer in the door! Something that is rarely seen in a fiberglass shop.....fortunately we had a disposable mold!

Re: 19ft Escape - Progress
Not much change to look at since the last photo other than it has approx 300 lbs of mud on it :P Hopefully within the next day or two it will get its first coat of primer.....Then it will look great being one color!

Re: 19ft Escape - Progress
Off to the glass shop she goes!!!
The thing on the door is a fiberglass mock-up so we can get a head start on the door jamb.
The top mold is currently underway....once completed, the unit will get flipped upside down. It will need a bit of finishing on the bottom and then onward with the bottom mold.
