6 inch memory foam mattress
We are thinking of replacing our not quite Queen size mattress with a 6 inch thick memory foam mattress. (they're on sale at Best Buy right now...mail order only) Does anyone have such a mattress and could we cut it down to fit in our 5.0.
Thanks
Al

If you are a warm sleeper, I have been told by "sleep experts" that you can feel clammy using them. Many folks are good with them. My brother had one in his tent trailer, which took a short while to soften as his body warmed it up.

I have two 3" memory foam mattresses atop my dinette cushions at the front of my trailer for my (semi-permanent) bed. I sleep fine on them and don't have a problem with "clamminess" at all. Yes, they are extra firm in the winter when it's cold but warm up quickly so that's not an issue for me either. Memory foam is easy to cut to size with an electric knife.

we just picked up our 21 so stock mattress. We brought a memory foam topper with us and thats fine slept like a rock last night. At home my wife has a select comfort and i have a temperpedic. We love them both. In the winter the temperpedic is hard as a rock when you frist get in, than it molds to your body as your body warms it. Its heaven!

Hi: Not so Big Al... We had a full 60X80 6" foam queen mattress in our 5.0!!! Always meant to cut it down to size but found that it curved up into the nose at a comfortably angled incline. Try it before you cut it... you might just like it.
p.s. How you gonna fit a mattress through your mail slot? Alf

Alf, When Not So Big Al says he will cut the mattress down to size, I think he means to fit through the mail slot.....just guessing......
