Almost ready to order
I be ordering after the first of the year a 19ft (already have my build sheet but still need the some additional cash) but hope its okay to ask questions as they come to me. Questions will be limited as I had a Casita before. My main concern is the sway control. If I order the Anderson hitch as option is this difficult to install? I will say my new ford explorer has a lot more feature to assist with towing then my old one. I am a little less worried now that I have it. Thank you

Just sold ours too
Kevin, we just sold our 2007 Casita (we loved our Casita) and are having a Escape 21 delivered in about 3 weeks. I tow with a 2010 Tacoma so I will let you know if it feels much different. I didn't use an anti sway with the Casita and will start without one on the Escape. I am curious how different it will be with 2 axles. Good luck

You'll find pretty much everyone here as helpful as they can be.

No, it's not difficult. Reace will install it for you as well.

Your Explorer will tow a 19 very nicely. You probably won't need any kind of sway control, but the Andersen hitch reportedly does a good job of sway control, and to a lesser degree, weight distribution.

Money's always a concern, but I wholeheartedly agree with Donna. Go for it.

I went from a Casita 17LD to an Escape 21 with a Taco 4dr v6 4x4 long bed, WDH but no sway on the Casita and the Anderson on the 21. The 21 tows beautifully compared to the Casita; tandem axles make a BIG difference in ride and tracking, have had no sway issues at all.

I always recommend that you tow without any accessories as long as you are within your limits and then decide if you need any add on's later.

I'd put the deposit down now, just to get on the schedule. This information is current as of 10/22

thanks for replies. My old ford explorer passed a yr sooner then I thought so I had to order this new a lot sooner then I had set the budget for. My god they are proud people at ford, I simply cannot believe what I paid for this depreciating car. So I will order the 19 ft one in May of next year. I thank you all again for your replies and its worth saying again I buying this trailer based on 40 percent of my reviews of the trailer and 60 percent of people that own them

Kevin,
Just an FYI that goes along with what Donna said: There is at least 3/4 of a year between ordering and finished trailer. I was going to order when we visited ETI in November, but as I watched production dates disappear, we decided to send the deposit and secure a date. So, we phoned in the order and the deposit one week ago (Oct. 17), and our trailer due date is Sept. 18, 2015, 11 months down the road.
We have until July 1, to finalize our build sheet.
Don
