Another new 21 in California!

We are so very happy and proud to have our trailer (and family) home safe. My husband Kevin and his brother left at 1:30am Thursday morning to begin a marathon 1800 mile trip to get to Chilliwack in 1 day, attend an 8am orientation Friday, then bring it straight home. Originally they did not plan to stop on the way home, but the late start on Friday along with bad traffic in Seattle, Friday rush hour traffic in Portland, as well as fatigue and snow over the Siskyous convinced them to make the return in 2 days. Staying the course would have been insane, right? They got home around 6pm last night, exhausted and hungry, but very happy.

The trailer has impressed us all. It's so beautiful inside and out. I love the clean lines and sensibility of it all. It's going to stay on our driveway for now, at least until our HOA finds out. Then we'll have to store it somewhere. But for now it's great to have it handy for measuring, planning, stocking etc.

A couple pics below. I have a couple more once I figure out how to rotate them properly.

Many thanks to everyone on this forum who have been so helpful in answering my newbie questions and all the other threads I've relied on.

Looks great! Know you are glad to have it. May you have many great camping trips. And, of course, we want to see the interior!

Wow! Looks great. Glad they took two days. Snow over the passes and around Shasta is not fun to deal with.
I know of a super storage facility if you need one.
You are in for great times!

Looks great and all's well that ends well. Sometimes you've just gotta do what you've gotta do. Glad it worked for you.

Did they end up crashing in the trailer or going to a motel?

They stayed in a motel in Eugene. Worked out well for them as there was a Tap house/restaurant across the street so they could get a well earned craft beer (or 2)! And his brother had lots of great ways to secure the trailer overnight so no worries.

YAY! Glad they got home safely. Yeah, traffic through Portland is a first class bitch as well as the Seattle traffic. I try to avoid Portland on Fridays, if at all possible. Glad they spent the night.

Very lovely interior - great choice on the countertop and pillows. Looks like you you did custom flooring as well. Nice.

Looks beautiful! I love your choice of fabrics! We will be adding one to northern CA soon ourselves! Maybe we will pass on the roads one day.

Thank you for the warm reception everyone!

Sandra I will eventually need a storage facility so I will pm you on that later.

NW_Cat_Owner, we used the standard flooring. I think it looks very nice with the cabinets and walls, and does a good job of not showing the dirt. I have a rug on it, and feel the floor is neutral enough to go with any type of rug you might use.

Definitely it's time to work on the travel plans. We're thinking that with all this El Nino rain the desert should be especially beautiful this spring!

Congratulations on your new 21'! Colors are very pretty and cheerful. One question, however. I noticed that you have four drawers and no heater on the night stand. Did you have a heater installed? If so, where?

Beautiful Jill! Inside and out! Glad the boys made it home safely and took the time to smell the roses at 'The Tap Room'.

Cheers From Fremont!

The furnace used to be stored under the dinette. Then Atwood switched to a new furnace that would only fit in the nightstand as you see now. We ordered our 21 as this change was happening. We preferred the old location and Reace was able to reserve one of the old furnaces for us.

Jill, I'm aware of the furnace issue. You're lucky that they happened to have an old furnace. I actually prefer the old location, but also realize the problems ETI was having causing relocation. Have a great time in your new trailer and maybe we will see you somewhere in the SW someday!
