Any ideas or suggestions?

I watch the Classifieds for RVs for Sale/Wanted in this forum. It seems like many of the Escapes that go up for sale are never moved to the Archive or updated as SOLD after they have been sold. Is there a way they can be deleted/moved after being sold? Or indicate on the title line they have been sold? It would help to keep that part of the forum neater, and a benefit to "shoppers" and sellers alike. I always look at the date on the right hand side to see when that section was last updated as a clue to activity which is helpful.

I've changed the title on several to SOLD, but only if the OP says the trailer has been sold.

Yeah, it's a PITA on all molded towable forums. The one that I've seen that's the most effective is the CasitaForum. Gene only leaves classifieds active for 30 days. Then they're moved to the archives. If a trailer hasn't sold, the seller has to contact him to move the trailer back to the current. Most trailers sell fast so this effective.

It will always be a problem with free advertising. If a seller was paying to sell, you'd better believe they'd make notification when a trailer sells to stop the bill.

I'd use the 6 months or less rule, anything over a year would be removed, I'll get on it as soon as I can, sorry for the inconvenience.

I like Donna's time expiry idea, and agree that the user of a free service isn't motivated to stop it. I don't think it's reasonable to expect administrators or moderators to keep track of what has sold, and even if the ads are never removed they are a service which is appreciated.

Thank you gbaglo and Jim. I suppose it's just a drawback of open forums that we (I) expect people to be responsible and clean up after themselves. I don't have to do it in my own home if not inclined to, but ABSOLUTELY when I am in someone else's home. It's called..., now what's that word?? Ahh yes, courtesy.

Some will clean up, but many won't. It is one of the things that keeps moderators busy.

I see you live in St George. Did all your snow melt yet? I was looking at some photos of friends of mine that live there, nothing at all what I experienced in my trips there. It is usually very hot.

No, some snow is still on the ground and the roads. It got up to about 48* today. Until yesterday, It has been below freezing for about a week, day and night. I had to come home from Buckskin AZ the day after the snow and I-15 being closed down overnight. Because it was 11*, I stopped at a gas station in Mesquite,NV to drain the hot water heater and open the faucets. Had no pink stuff with me. Hoping no damage done to pumps or plumbing. Just a few months ago people in these parts were complaining about the heat (115*) and global warming.
