I don't think anyone directly answered these two questions:

Anybody?
From many sources, they style of hinge used for the outside door of an Escape (and other Trillium-style trailers) is called a "refrigerator" hinge.

The surface of the trailer adjacent to the door is flush with the door.... so flat, or zero offset.

Thanks Brian, Pat has ordered the SS hinges and will post back later how well they work, etc.

Fast shipping for me , came from Walnut California . I am so happy I can't even contain myself . The hinges are beautiful heavy polished stainless steel . All holes line up to Escapes . I used Ups shipping my total bill was 44.00 that was everything . if you ship Post Office your bill will be less then mine . First picture is new on left and Escape cast on right.. Same for second picture . third and forth are the new hinge on top of old . Anyone one wants any more pictures let me know . I want to add this is a Women owned company , very few out there . If your hinges look ugly you will be thrilled as I am Pat

Very nice. Mine are pitting also so thanks for the trail blazing.

While their footprint etc. looks identical it appears, as best as I can tell, that the s/s ones are slightly more robust or have a slightly heavier nylon washer. Can't tell for sure. Do they look a little better in that area?

Ron

I suspect that the s/s ones will weight more than the die cast zamak ones. What I mean is that right at the hinge pin area it looks like the s/s ones have a thicker plastic washer than the original.

I'm definitely ordering a set. They look like they might have some potentially better hardware for all kinds of uses.

I tried without the small scale , didn't work . Yes When I pick them up they feel a little heavier . I asked Linda to pick them up and she said they feel heavier also compared to the Escape cast hinges . Also the nylon washer looks about 3 times more then Escape 's . On the our Escapes especially the top one the nylon washer is really worn down and there is a lot of slop to the hinge . Hope that helps . Pat

One of the reason's I loved the Oliver the 2 that we saw ,was the marine stainless hardware every where . For a important component on our Classic trailers like our doors so glad there is a source for our hinges . Yay ! Pat

Pat,
You're not excited, are you?

Maybe I ought to get a set for the future. Walnut's only 80 miles from here, so driving there would sure beat shipping!!

Glad you solved this.
