Mine has not opened in transit but I have dumped the contents of the medicine cabinet after we arrived . First I learned to keep the toilet lid down. Then I picked up one of each of these from Camperworld. They help hold the stuff in place. If you have heavier items in there they should keep the door closed.

I use plastic trays from $store, that way when opening all the items are in a tray and it is easier to manage.

This is what I did on my retrofit medicine cabinet. Not sure if you could do the same thing on the stock one. I just thought the bars were too clumsy and take up too much room on already small shelves.

And here is what we have in the cabinet at the moment. We stock it further when we take a trip.Maybe the factory one is deeper as I have plenty of room for items.
Notice the Canadian aftershave? It was a souvenir from our last trip.

Good point. It does look like you have a little more shelf depth and you certainly have more height in the middle shelf to lift items out over the double bar. With my retrofit cabinet the bars wouldn't work as nicely.

I started a thread on this topic back in December. I just posted an update there with a video on what I did to my Escape 21, Gen2 medicine cabinet.

We have an RV Wiget bathroom wall pocket above the sink in our 21. It holds tooth brushes and tooth paste. We also make extensive use of the cubbies just outside the bathroom door for our liquid soaps, shampoo, hand cream, sun screen, etc
I upgraded the shower head which makes showering a pleasure, especially when we have full hookups and don't have to worry about water consumption.
