I mentioned earlier how Escape BlackJack came to be and it was replaced by Prairie Schooner to replicate visions of the settlers crossing the plains via Chisholm, Oregon, and SantaFe Trails, and finally DeJa View to represent our 4th Escape and 2nd E21. Our name had been selected awhile ago and already ordered when we lost our dearly beloved Franklin last month, so the name could not be changed, but he will have his own space inside so that the and Hershey can still bunk together....

Well Dave after that I was thinking of booting you off my friends list, but I just can't do it.

In light of the "Unser Ei" name above will have to mention our 5.0TA which we did not name but do love the name. Ours is "Le Bon Oeuf" Previous owner Jan lived in both England and France so the name is apt for both countries since being called a "good egg" in England is saying you're a good guy. Interesting though that "good egg" actually evolved from the term "bad egg" meaning the opposite of course.

O.K. I have to chime in on names. We pick up our 5.0 TA on may 9. We will be naming our trailer. We will be doing the lettering when we get home. Our new trailer will be christened " The Glass Inn"

My husband did not want a name on the trailer but if I could it would be At Last. Reasons because I wanted one for ever ( lurking on this site for years ) and Etta James song At Last the lyrics say it all. AT LAST

I suppose a person could slide under the trailer with some rust inhibiting paint and
put the Nellie Lutcher Classic on the turntable that compliments “At Last” with “Fine Brown Frame”. It’s 70 years old but still sounds good.

Has a Trekkie I always knew the reference of “Ten Forward” but not the history of picking that name. #10 off the line is so cool! You have my utmost respect.

I'm having as much fun now as was in the beginning ... To seek out new life... to boldly go (where I've never gone before ).... STILL WORKING ON THAT!

Well, if we're going to tell stories...
Charly the beagle found this toad, which I photographed and use for my avatar. Seconds after I turned to check the camera, Charly had lunged and swallowed the toad.

And, of course, it's a pun.

Two Step to High Fiber

Going from a 17 ft Casita — “Two Step” — because nothing was more that two steps way, to the 75% larger (in floorspace) and virtual “Two Story” Escape 5.0TA, we decided that being the tallest of the Escapes and fully fiberglass the name should be “High Fiber”. Needless to say there have been various interpretations and understandings of what that means and who must be towing such a trailer. Would love to attend a rally for nutritionists with the trailer.

How about “Just Hitched”

So many options to pick from!

We named out trailer "Wart Ho!" in honor of a friend.

“The Wart” was Merlin’s name for King Arthur when he was a lad. It was also the nickname of a dear friend of mine who passed several years back. He started a tradition called the “Wart Feast” each spring equinox when he was 13 years old. His surviving friends just celebrated the 50th annual feast this spring. As we arrive to feast, we great each other with a hardy “Wart Ho!” So in his honor ....

We chose to name our Escape 17B "Tomago", which means egg in Japanese.

Not an Escape, but our Winnie is “ Easy Goer”. If it was an Escape it would be “Over Easy” I guess.

Here's a good one. It's a word I learned just yesterday. Coddiwomple. (v) To travel purposefully toward an as-yet-unknown destination.

We've had our trailer exactly 2 years and just couldn't name it. The Casita was easy to name it was just so cute. However, I love coddiewopple. We may have to just borrow that one to have something to call the poor trailer .

My Casita isn’t named and I don’t know what I could come up with for an Escape, but I think if I had a little 13’ something I’d want to call it Tag-a-Long. The name just doesn’t seem suitable to me for anything very big.

In honor of my college major in German, perhaps I should name our Escape “Rollenessenscheissenschlafenhaus”?

Probably would not want to pay Escape’s per letter fee though. Also, onlookers might have to walk around the entire trailer to read it.
