I expect they had a lot going against them. Their units were heavy and had acquired that reputation, as well as for being well built. They went through a period with high prices for petroleum products used for raw materials and a Canadian dollar on par with the U.S. Then the economy tanks and those in the market, if they are at all, are looking for light weight units and fuel efficient vehicles. They needed a cushion and they needed a vision, but apparently couldn't see it coming.
On the other hand, I'm in the newspaper business, and I see a Bigfoot trailer drifting sideways into my lane. Trying to take evasive action and hoping to retire before I expire.
