Sigh, two topics on the 'recent' box. Does a mod have time to merge the chaos?

Jamie, its only rated at two bikes for RV use, per 1up site. Non-RV, yes 4 bikes total and they show such on a Jeep.

Just added bike rack ready to the build sheet. For only $75.00 and I figure it would be hard to add later with the spray foam underneath. I will worry about a rack later although reading all of this is educational. Loren

Let me apologize in advance in case this info is above and I missed it too!

I assume that the 1up rack plus bikes can be installed A-ok with the spare tire in place?

The rack can be installed with the tire on. The only thing is, it won't go to the full up storage position. It can be placed in the next position down which is about 45 deg. No biggie since you would only be bringing it along to have bikes on it and you would have it all the way down. It is still pretty close to to the trailer in that next storage position.

We used the rack to bring a new Electra Townie home on the back of the truck. The bike really rode nice. We hope to get the rig out this weekend and I will get pictures to post.

Hi Carl- really missing our bikes this trip as am waiting for 1Up real world TT review. As Jim Bennett has said it's useful to have someone drive behind to see how the bikes are looking. Hope you have the opportunity to do so.

As previously posted we met Steve & Danielle w/their new 21. They use a Yakima Holdup but on long treks put the nice Santa Cruz bikes in the truck.

Got the 1up sd single today and put 'er on. A real treat to set up, after memories of straps, ratchets, bolts and awkward lifting of yesterday. Might have to find excuse (like lunch) to go test it out.

If anything, Jim is under playing the build quality, at least compared to the two older bike racks that are in my closet now.
