Boy did I mess up this time...
You would think, after selling 8 campers without any problem that I would have it down pat. But no, I messed up this time. My keys for the hitch were in my Escape which I emptied before selling. Now comes the realization that I have no idea where the keys to the lock pins are? Here are the pictures of my garage, my basement and my hitch set up. I'm thinking I have to cut the bolts, if I can get the blade in there...
Anyone have any ideas.....

Jim I don't know what would be quicker, to cut the pin with a hacksaw or empty totes [emoji23]

I did today, he said the locks are chinese and it can take 15 minutes to 8 hours to pick both, suggested I cut them off myself.

Jim you could swing past a machine or hitch shop and get them to use a cutting torch on them, it would only take a minute at best.
Cheers

The one in the back is kind of inaccessible, the one in front is easy.

I looked at your picture again . See back is close to your truck .Cut the front , get that out of your way . Drill out the lock . Progressive size drills until weaked enough then vise grips holding one end another to twist it off . Pat

Maybe Jim should drive it over to the nearest rodeo grounds. Ever been to Cowtown Jim?

Well, Jim, you are getting a new Escape so it probably needs a new tow to match!

Hi: cpaharley2008... You need a pro thief. They'd unlock them in a N.Y. minute...guaranteed. Alf

Jim
1) Is Porta-power one word or two?
2) Can you contact the new owners and get key code
3) Tungsten carbide drill bits, cutting oil and low speed low gear 1/2 inch 120 V Milwaukee Hole Shooter and a wrist brace and helper handle.
That's all I got.

I think I have the solutions:
1) your garage looks like my shop .... think you should move to Alaska and we switch storage areas. Yours looks like more fun than mine.
2) Put a reciever hitch on your new Mustang. You'd have the sexiest tow vehicle around and be able to forget about those pesky pins.
3) If you can get in there with a Sawzall blade ... either bi-metal or carbide, grab that pin with a vice grip so the pin shaft can't spin with the action of the saw blade.
Good Luck Jim! I like option 2 the best.....

the lock up under the bumper looks tough to get to...check under rear to see if your truck receiver bolts to the truck frame with about 4 bolts? you might have to drop spare tire to get to them.
if so go to auto shop
have them undo the 4 bolts with air socket tool
remove receiver
have the locks cut or blow torched
put receiver back on and tighten 4 bolts with air socket tool
