Re: Button Down the Hatches Northeasterners!
I wonder how much this storm is going to do. They certainly are making it out to be the scariest storm ever. Hope people have left many of those areas including the central Atlantic as it looks bad all the way up from there. I had never thought about taking off in the Escape should there be such a natural disaster approaching until I saw it discussed on Fiberglass RV. Sounds like a good idea.

Re: Button Down the Hatches Northeasterners!
We had a mini rally this weekend in Central Pennsylvania with some fiberglass rv folks, small but it was the first time with the new FJ Cruiser. Plus Halloween was celebrated at the CG and we all decorated. But had to come home and put the Escape in the yard behind my 6' gate/fence for the main reason of securing the fence with cables to the Escape to keep the wind from blowing the fence down. Once attached to the front it is secure. We saw hundreds of utility trucks headed east on the turnpike, from Ohio,S.Carolina, Illinois are headed to help out.
On a side note, someone followed us home off the expressway, just as we stopped at our house and let the dogs out, they asked to see the Escape. Seems they live nearby and saw us coming home and wanted to see it. So, I opened the door and took them on a mini tour and handed them the Escape card Tammy sent and put my phone number down for questions. Will be neat if we get another one so close.
Now to wait for the winds and rain, I got my generator if needed and left the Escape refer on and left the food/drinks there cold if we lose our house electric.

Re: Button Down the Hatches Northeasterners!
I went out Saturday and "unwinterized". Filled the fresh water tank, tightened up the anode and turned on the frig. As ready as I want to be.

Re: Button Down the Hatches Northeasterners!
Dick, that's just what I was thinking! We had cleared out the Escape and winterized and now with all of this storm activity elsewhere, thought maybe we should put some things back for just such a situation. Hope you are safely out of the way of the worst.
