Yep, still have thev race downtown.. Yesterday, they allowed people to walk run or ride a bicycle on the course.. I have never attended the race, despite living here for more years than Carter has pills!!!

Hi John. Welcome to the family. There's a great rally going on the end of October at Lake Casitas. Hope you can make it. Lots of Casitas, a few Scamps, other FGRV's and last year we even had 2 Escapes. Think that number will at least double next time. Ann and I will be at Crystal Cove in May if you want to come by. PM me for the details (we lived in Iowa by the Sea before we moved up to the Central Coast. Joe Jost's rocks!).

We'll include you in future California Escapee's events (of course, EVERYONE is invited!). Hotfishtacos set up a group for us called SCAB . Check it out.

The group grows. Thanks all who have contacted me and/or posted here. I'm deciding against listing our first annual "What Me Worry? 2014 California Escapees Surf's Up Mob" under Gatherings. We have around 14 folks now and we don't want to rile up the rangers any more than absolutely necessary. Latest addition is Robin from Lompoc. Robin, you out there?

Surf's Up Mob... OMG when you folks finally get around a campfire you had better post some pictures or I'll never forgive you!

What fun!

We're taking our first real trip in our Escape next weekend. We're heading to Plaskett Creek, just south of Big Sur and if the surf's smallish we might even get to surf Sand Doller Beach. :-)

Ha! I posted and hadn't seen the Surf's Up Mob! Hahaha! Ok, we'll bring the surfboards and everyone can pose with them for a picture.

Hello! Robin here. As of yet I'm just an Escapee-in-training, still planning and saving, but I will certainly come out to spend some time with all you vested Escapees. I can't wait!

You could name your group, "Escape from the land of Fruits and Nuts State". I'm also in California, picking up a 21 late may. We are native San Luis Obispoians.

How about "in the" instead of "from the"?

We are in Sacramento. And there is a Fibreglass rally coming up in a couple of weeks! It is not Escape specific, but it is in King City CA so it is easy to get to for Norcalers and Central Calers too!

CA 2014, May 1-5: 11th Annual May FiberglassRV Rally @ King City, CA - Fiberglass RV

See you there?

Sadly, we won't be there. Since I didn't know about our Escape Plan being delivered I didn't book a site.

So many rallies, so little time! We're headed down to Crystal Cove in OC for 10 days. Tough call but Mickey Mouse won (as in going to D'land). Awesome campground for those who have never been. Every site has a beach view and Trader Joe's is only a 1/4 mile away!

You can prolly just show up, but won't get the rally rate for the site there were tons of other sites there.

BTW I ran into you at Morro Bay once when I was camped there didn't I?

Chris and I stayed in Anaheim at the beginning of March on our way back from AZ, and did two days at the Disney Parks. $$$$ but we had fun. Oops off topic, sorry.

Good idea. I might just do that.

Yes. You were at Morro Dunes if I recall correctly.

Heads up! When I booked our spot for September, the website noted the spots had electricity and water, but when I checked this past weekend the website noted those same spots electricity only. Lori just called them to find out and the spots on the bluff (the partial hookup spots) have electricity only, but there is water available to fill up our tanks and there is a dump station.
See you there!
