Campground Bliss....

Campground bliss has got to be arriving at a full-hook up campground and having a cosy dry Escape to snuggle up in . After driving through rain for 5/6 hrs .....arrived in Whistlers in Jasper Nat. Park - rained cats ,dogs and elephants all the way there and into the evening . Of coarse the sun came out this morning so we could enjoy our time here ......

You are sure to see elk if you stay at all. That was one of our campgrounds there. Also were at Wabasso with no hook-ups and the Athabasca Falls are something to see.

Yes ...it has got to be one of the best places for Elk . We have been here before and have some really good shots . Spent most of the day at Maligne Lake and took the boot cruise ,we'll be here till Thursday and then head down to Radium ...will be stopping at Athabaska Falls and Lake Louise ....we'll take the tram tomorrow and hike up to the top of Whistlers ....would love to share photos but only have iPad cell no wifi this trip ...

All my photos are posted from an IPad --- oh, you noticed!
Lake Maligne is unbelievable. We were also in Radium and the Bighorn Sheep are up on the hill, down a road that ends at a restaurant and/or inn.

Something nice about being secure in any kind of storm, you get that safe, cozy feel.

We stayed in tents at Whistlers one night last September, the night before our paddle on Maligne lake. It was just over a week earlier, and the elk were in rut. Lets just say we did not get a lot of sleep that night.

I saw this bull about 7 years ago, when hiking near Jasper, though much earlier in the year than now. Awesome animals.

Back on topic, one of the most blissful things for me, is to sit in the early morning watching over a river, lake, cliff, meadow, whatever, as I enjoy my first yummy coffee of the day.

Awesome photo.

I'm with Gabi and/or Wolf: A good cup of tea for me.

I noticed that both Whistler's and Wabasso had a great number of tents. Not sure the tents did not outnumber the trailers. Also saw every kind of fiberglass trailer in the area.

Thanks.

For me, tea is for night time, and usually herbal.

I did learn one lesson in bringing the 21 home. Be sure to have a rain poncho as it will not always be sunny and dry when you are setting up or taking down. Really got my feathers damp one night. Loren
