Harvest Hosts sounds good, Leon. Are there plenty of hosts in most areas? How about Canada?

I looked into another one similar mentioned here a couple years back, but they were not set up for Canadians, at least at that time.

Harvest Hosts does include Canada. In fact, there are 3 or 4 of them in the Calgary area. We have had a great time at some of the wineries in the Texas Hill Country, and we plan to use Harvest Hosts more often when out of state.

Harvest Hosts?
It does sound like an interesting alternative.

There are definitely more hosts in some areas than others. And, amazingly enough, I find the most interesting hosts to be wineries and orchards. some states (like my home state of N.D.) only have one or two, and some states may have none. but there are lots in CA, several in WA and OR.

We are currently on our Fall Fling. We have been on the road just over two weeks, heading from MN to Boston and now down the east coast. So far we have stayed at 3 Harvest Hosts this trip, and we will probably stay at a couple more before we get home.
