Just using the words I see on rv.net.
Wild rose camp Glenn. Not liking the looks of the blindside entry sites at Cottonwoods. I see they have pull throughs though.

I've always wondered why those campgrounds are there, as I drive past. You'll have to do a campground report.

Well with FUP then you should be fine because you will have a heated water hose. I've camped down to 5 degrees F with full hook ups and heated water hose without any issues. I dumped when it got above freezing without any issues. Just run some hot water into the tanks right before dumping.

Duck under with a flashlight and see if water pipes ( half-inch blue or red plastic ) are visible. They will tend to freeze much quicker than the tanks.
A couple of options: Add some pipe insulation or purchase heat tape that runs on 120v.
We added 12v low-wattage heat tape but since you don't have insulation, the 12v version may not be warm enough for your situation.

Even with heat tape, insulation is needed over it to be effective.

All the water lines are inside in the Escape and with heated supply water he should be fine down to -0-.

There are exposed lines on the 5.0TA, can't speak for the rest. Also the feed from the fresh water tank if you are using it or have water in the it. Shots are from just before they sprayed on the insulation.

Bob,
Do you have the exterior shower on the driver side? I'm wondering if those are the lines? On the 21' model all of mine are inside but I do not have the exterior shower.

I don't have the exterior shower either. Best can tell is they come from the area of the HW tank (near side of the picture), and cross over for the kitchen sink. It's not snowing yet today so maybe I'll head out to the trailer and see if I can tell from inside the dinette bench.

cold weather
On my 21 I have about a foot of unprotected pipe from the fresh tank bottom up to the floor where it feeds the water pump. I do have a early model with the pump below the refrigerator.
Jack of AZ, don't normally worry about these things that I used to take care of when in Minot, ND.

Yes, my pump is under the bed by the front hatch. One would think that those lines would have a low point drain since ETI stopped installing the low point drains?? I assumed my kitchen lines feed from the bath, not underneath.

My 21 still has the low point drains under the step.

On 2nd look, I think the lines go from the kitchen to the bath, which is on the other side as opposed to the 21.

I was sure since all the water uses in the 21 are on the one side that they were all inside.
