Cushion fabric

I am choosing fabric for my cushions. Trying to decide between 100% polyester vs 100% cotton. Has anyone used Cotton for their cushion covers? How is it holding up? For those that use 100% polyester do you find it sweaty to sit on? Any pilling?
Thanks

Ours is 100% acrylic, Sunbrella fabric. Extremely durable, fade resistant, no pilling. I highly recommend Sunbrella fabric in an RV. If you get it from Sailrite, they will also ship it direct to Chilliwack, and their prices are hard to beat.

One other note: If you want to be able to reverse the cushions, be sure to specify on your build sheet a full wrap (all sides upholstered) on the cushions, otherwise the bottoms will be covered with a color coordinated vinyl.

We also bought Sailrite Sunbrella because of condensation issues. It is an outdoor fabric so it will presumably take a lot.

On the vinyl, we want that because we can dry wet items after rain or if not using a dryer on some items. Just turn some cushions and use those. The vinyl is often said to be for wet bathing suits. Or wet dogs.

Not necessarily color coordinated. Ours are tan which is a wretched color in my opinion. I was never given a choice of colors. If so, I would have said "um, not getting vinyl, per our emails". But, like Robert said, make sure it gets on your build sheet. Our request for that, although verified in emails, did not get on the build sheet, so we didn't get the full wrap that we wanted.

I thought, being an outdoor fabric, it would be scratchy and all that. We were very pleasantly surprised when we sat on a couch with it at an upholstery store at how soft it was.

I got ours through Patio Lane and got free shipping. However, it was directly to me since I was hauling it up to ETI for delivery. Doubt you'd do that being from St Louis.
