I know the 6500 lb tow capacity of the Tacoma should be adequate but It's hard to imagine pulling 800 lbs more than I do now with my Taco. So I am considering a full size truck.

The Tandem axle makes a big difference. Our 19' Escape pulls and feels better the our 17' Casita ever did. We pull with a 06 Tundra which was the last year before they made the Tundra full size. Our truck is no bigger then the new Tacoma and has the same capacity. The only differance is we do have a V8 but from what I have see of the new Tacoma I would buy one if I was looking for a new truck.

I had high hopes for this one in 2012 ( I think ).
Looked perfectly dreary for Oct. or Nov.

If I was getting a 19 I would use my Tacoma to pull it. I think the 19 is only maybe 300 lbs more than a Casita but I'm guessing the 21 is maybe 800 lbs more and it feels like too much for the kind of travel I do, lots of mountains each year. But, I loved the Tacoma for the Casita.

Umm, Maybe these posts could be continued on the Tacoma thread?

gbaglo, I love that picture! It gives me a real sense of peace. The trailer and it's light softened by the evening fog looks so warm and inviting. I think it really is waiting for it's owners to come home. Now I really can't wait for camping season to begin.

There's nothing stopping anyone from printing their own Escape calendar. Then you can show your trailer every month in a different place and season. Personally if I have my way, a watch and calendar will be of little use for me next year. I have lived under a schedule or time line long enough.

Takes a while before you lose that "oh oh" feeling on Sunday night, and then realize you don't have to go to work tomorrow. You don't have to do anything, unless she tells you to.

It was taken just off Highway 101 in the Redwood National and State Parks in northern California. A beautiful drive.

It is truly a beautiful drive and your pic (IMHO) is one of the best I've seen as your 15B shows off the grandeur of the redwoods. I'm going to save in my Escape folder just to look at it once in a while.

How does one do that? Don't they have control of their site? In fact, how does one do that on this forum? I've never seen one of my pics in the random image box but then I haven't posted that many in comparison to some.

Just go to their main page and the picture top right changes every few seconds.

Karen, you do not have control over the pictures shown on the Escape site. However, if you send them some good pics, it is quite possible that they will add one or more of the good ones to their site.

I misunderstood your post; I thought you meant for JimJ to have his own picture posted on ETI's website and to allow it to be scrolled in their random image box.

I did send the photo to Tammy and she did use it within the random image box system. That was great.

Another way to look at it is anyone with an Escape is NOT a loser. The examination of Jim and Robin's 15 is the reason we decided to get a 15. (By the way, did you ever get your referral $$$$ Jim)

I would be happy to set up a section on our little web page of ALL the Escapes and locales people have been to. I know that I like looking at them and don't like clicking through or WAITING for them to show up randomly on either the forum or Escape's site. All I need is people to send me the image(s) they want.
