More effective than even a plate of poutine would be a freshly brewed coffee and maybe a roaring campfire.

I would gladly do it for you, if it isn't done by then, Donna.

Donna, you know I work for beer. Buy me one AFTER I install one just like mine a LUX 2 wire heater only thermostat. Easy peasy.

Good on ya Jim, I knew you'd volunteer

I'd volunteer but if we head for Alaska we'll probably be on the road by then so I won't be making any reservations until I know our schedule for sure.

No Ron, thank you for volunteering me.

The rally would be fun, but Alaska will be even more fun, maybe you could work it that the rally could be the kick-off to the trip.

I will be in Alaska for a couple weeks at the end of June, but we are flying up to Juneau for a couple days, then have a yacht chartered for 8 of us, and will spend a week touring around on the way to Sitka, where we will stay a few days until flying back. Way to short of a trip though, hope to drag my Escape up there some day for a couple months.

Man, Escaping to Alaska's just a pipe dream for me. I hear digital thermostats work good up there...

All I really want is an easier-to-use digital (and no sore thumb), but when the time comes for A/C (which is wired)... everything is in place (no running wires under the headliner).
I hear you. That is the reason I changed to a digital thermostat. I do miss hearing the "clunk" from the old thermostat that signaled that the set temperature has been reached & the furnace fan will stop is a minute or so...

One year at the Rally, Reace ran around doing a fix that loosened that selector switch up a bit. I don't miss the click at all, glad it is gone. Never really had an endearing quality to me.
