I read back through this subject and if I understand correctly- the AC should shut off when it reaches the "set" temperature?

The furnace certainly works that way, but the AC doesn't appear to do that- I tried various temps and it never really shut off- it continued until we shut it off.

Any suggestions??

AC does shut off the cooling function, but the only way to kill the fan then is to have the Dometic Digital Thermostat. Different wiring harness, so a retrofit isn't easy.

If I remember correctly, there were three options on the digital thermostat. Heat, AC and Fan. I'd expect that you have chosen the fan on option.

I think you have to set the fan mode to auto, then it will shut the fan off with the compressor.

Cheers

I'm assuming by your reply in post #6 on this thread that the question is answered. Glad to help. Digital thermostat problem
