does anyone know the pattern / color number of the standard formica?
I am planning to get custom fabric but use the standard formica. I would like to check to see if they harmonize.

I believe it's Giallo Granite. You can order a free sample from the Formica site. It's about 5" x 8" in size. Really helps to put the sample up against the fabric swatches.

I would contact ETI directly. Only they would know if there is a glitch in production of Formica that requires them to go with an option.

My recollection is ETI sent us samples of the Formica, the oak cabinetry plywood and the fabric, all to make us pine even more for our first Escape.

Good point. It's been Giallo Granite for a few years now, but "stock" color may change. The demise of the 15 surprised me, so who knows what other changes may be in store?

true?
I have just ordered five 5" x 7" samples - all group 58 - from Formica.com
and
thanks.

No. If you choose any Formica yourself, it is an extra $200 minimum. For no charge, you get what they use as standard. If you also want something other than ending in 58, you pay another $100, for $300 total. That is the way I read it. (We paid $100 for a 58 but that charge is now $200 according to their website.)

I think Tammy indicated some of the 2017 pricing is alread showing on the website, but it would not apply to a "2016." So, assuming the trailer in question is already on order, 2016 price may apply. My advice is to call ETI and verify the amount of that upcharge.

No, I have a 2016 build date for a 17B and my build sheet was recently updated to include a revised $200 charge for my Custom Formica 300-58 Sail White Oxide.
So this is an option that reflects current 2016 and future 2017 pricing both.

Have you signed off on your build sheet? Once you do, prices stay the same (unless you're able and willing to change to the 2017 model). Until you do, any price changes/increases are reflected in your build sheet.

custom formica
I can also confirm price for custom formica has gone from $100 to $200 as long as you use series 58. An extra $100 for anything else. As on my 2016 June delivery build sheet.

Nope, have not signed off. That's why we were subject to the price increase. On the flip side, we lost $70 of option costs when the Stainless Steel Sink & Chrome Faucet became standard.
I guess we should decide once and for all...Exterior 12v Outlet OR NOT!!

Well, that's confusing, given Tammy's comment in A Message from the Office:
Quote:
We have been trying to update the website in preparation for release of the 2017 production schedule. However, miscommunication between myself and the web-tech has allowed some of changes for 2017 to become live and merge into the 2016 Standard Features and Options List. Which is creating some confusion for current customers who have a trailer on order. We want to ensure everyone with a trailer on order for 2016 your Options and Standard Features have not changed.

The $200 charge for xxx-58 custom Formica has been on the options list for a few weeks, I believe. As my build sheet says, "Prices are subject to change without notice."

Yes, I believe she is referring to options and standard features remaining the same, not necessarily the prices. We had some price or two change on our build sheet.

Except that the SS sink and faucet are now standard, so it's still confusing, IMHO.
Since I don't have a dog in this hunt, I'll butt out of this conversation. My point was just to check with ETI and not go by what's on the website - but a build sheet is different.
Good luck with it, y'all. You're going to love your new Escape, when it finally gets here!

The first build sheet we rec'd, dated 12/17/15, has the custom formica at $200.
