Early spring Chilliwack travel / weather

We will be traveling from east Texas sometime from mid march to late april and will travel through the western states as well as spending a week or two in southern BC. For those of you who have traveled that area during the early spring timeline, are there issues with weather, mountain passes, road icing, etc...
I understand that a spring storm can cause problems for a day or two but in general, how were travel conditions.

If you are going I5 I think Grants Pass the only big concern. Pretty mild in Washington and southern BC by mid March. Had to sleep in my vehicle overnight one time waiting for the pass to open.

By Grants Pass I think you mean the nearby Siskiyou Summit. It's unusual when it closes for a day or so until it can be cleaned off - weather monitoring is pretty good these days and warnings go out a day or more before a big storm hits. Here's some info:
