Chilly drive into work this morning. Was -29°C when I started the truck. The FJ was a little annoyed at me for not plugging it in last night and whined a bit after it started.

I would not object to having the winter end about now.

It is not winter I want ending, just this darn cold. We are trying to do some framing on a couple jobs, and the guys just can't get much done. Fingers get cold fast, and our air spikers just don't want to fire.

-10°C is just fine though, and a bit more snow would be nice. i just know winter is far from over, so I am not going to hope for something I know I won't get.

Jim I can't blame you for wanting winter to end. We've only been back from NC for three weeks but have had enough of this cold, at least here in southern MB it's sunny nearly every day and now I'm just sitting with the sun streaming in through our south facing living room window.

Alf, it's a good thing your 5.0 is a small trailer, looks like the campsite is pretty small, glad you're both enjoying hot weather, certainly much hotter than our week in FL.

Yes it is. There is something missing from camping when fires are not allowed. I have sat around those fake ones, and it just isn't the same.

Smoked salmon and a beer are a pretty good substitute.

Not a substitute at all, but a pretty darn nice thing to accompany a fire.

Well, here we go again, with 30" already this season, another 8-12" expected tomorrow night into Friday, I do not think BlackJack will go any where until March now. Plus another batch coming Sunday night!!
I was hoping to take BJ camping this weekend.

Here, too, Jim, with maybe some more freezing rain and ice thrown into the mix. And we are just recovering from the last ice storm.

I will go to the grocery store AGAIN tonight, get out the emergency kit AGAIN. Maybe if I leave it out, this will stop?

You do realize that Yuengling Beer is from …….Yuengling: An American Story since 1829 | America's Oldest Brewery
made here in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Baglo advises that you need to cut down on the chicken wings and get your calories and vitamins from the beer.

I heard someplace that if you ever have your jaw wired shut (for medical reasons, not for espousing here on the forums) that you will need to drink a beer a day thru a straw for protein and carbs. Just one though, so when you have several it does add up.

Getting back to the original topic of this thread, we are about to get dumped upon yet again in the east. Sounds like snow with sleet sandwiched in between. And a lot of it.
