Mob scene puts it mildly! What a hoot! When I first envisioned a beer exchange as an "opener event," it wasn't supposed to be OPEN THE BEER as much as:

Hi, I'm Donna D. from Portland, Oregon would you like to try [beer here] and where are you from and what did you bring to exchange... I thought we'd socialize a bit with each person...

Well... during the first ever exchange, I barely got the "Hi, I'm Donna D" out of my mouth.. before the entire exchange looked like a Great White Shark feeding frenzy. WHAT A HOOT! It is what it is, and when everyone exchanges.... THEN the socializing starts. I didn't plan THAT... and if you are two minutes late, you are SOL!

Now, I actually do a count down.. two minutes... one minute... 30 seconds... GO at the NOGs.

hahahahhahahaha

This is a very welcome truth. I remember a bunch of years ago, dreading to go to the US and having to drink the beer there, not that ours was a heck of a lot better. Now, there are almost too many great beers to be found, both in the US and here in Canada. It is quite the challenge to try them all, but I am working on it.

So, since the first exchange, I've just brought my six beers, and six more in a cooler for myself, and shot pictures of the mob scene.
I vote that you organize it a bit better. Though not a bad thing at all, it could be made much better.

We got hammered today, started last night at 11 pm heavy until 11 am today, switched to sleet/freezing rain and now we are getting another 3-4" of Sierra sludge, total now approaching 18- 24"!!! I'm tired of clearing the awnings and auxillary heat pump and keeping my furnace air/exhaust which is 36" above grade out of the drifting snow and using the snowblower on walks and driveways. Been doing this every 4 hours. Tomorrow I tackle BlackJack, but more snow on Saturday/Sunday, I'm ready for springtime.

There wouldn't be an issue if we had used the term 'Climate Change' instead of 'Climate Warming'.
But, that didn't happen. Which opens all sorts of avenues to deny that we have any effect on the environment.
We can only hope for a terminal hit from an asteroid.
Getting lousy mileage out of my RAV4 recently, but what's a guy to do?

I bet that lousy mileage has something to do with the change in barometric pressure…….

Well, I cleaned/cleared the snow off BlackJack, one observation, with the sun out and the trailer tilted forward, a lot of the wet stuff slides off very easily with a little push from a broom. Another reason not to cover, ease of snow removal.
Came in, turned on the computer and this appeared:
The National Weather Service In State College Has Issued A Winter
Weather Advisory For Snow...Which Is In Effect From 11 PM This
Evening To 4 PM EST Saturday.

• Hazard Types...Snow And Blowing Snow.

• Accumulations...2 To 4 Inches Of Snow.

here we go again, I'm beat.

Hang in there, our rock is making another cycle around the sun, days are getting longer, and the sun is starting to gain in intensity again.
Snow is just another 4 letter word that starts with "S".

I'm with you Jim. Since I'm retired and need the exercise, I snowblow our 1/4 mile long steep driveway with a walk behind. This is the first year ever that it was a daily routine for quite a while. A trip in Blue to the Tucson area in March is starting to sound like a good idea.....if I don't have to drive thru blizzards and ice covered roads to get there!

Heck Eric, wouldn't a manual snow shovel be an even better exercise regimen?
Well, 'ceptin' for the heart attack factor.

My wife went for elective ankle surgery in November, just before all the snow came. I too had to shovel daily, a job that is usually delegated to her.

Smart woman - good timing on that elective surgery!

It's snowing again, 2-4" expected and now there are ice dams on the gutters/roof edges. The gutters are starting to sag under the weight, I went out with a ladder/shovel, gave up. Came in and ordered a snow broom for the roof. That should eliminate the problem, once you order the tool you will no longer need it.
