Hi. D. Priestley... Your to late. I already own this thing...French and all. The punctuation marks are giving me grief as they are on different keys. It's kinda like playing golf and not being able to tee off the white markers...I have to use the blue ones!!! Alf

Re: Entering the Modern Era

Forget the Mac,
Twice my kids had to have a Mac.
They both went of to different university's and phoned home with in the week.
They now needed a pc based laptop!
On the lighter side I got a sorry Dad. (Twice)

Re: Entering the Modern Era

Alf, it is a real easy fix if you have not found it. One the bottom right of your screen along the taskbar is a symbol for a keyboard. It is likely set to 'Canadian Multilingual'. Just change it to 'US'. I have had the same issue as you a few times.

I could never use a Mac with the software I have for business. I know there is a work around, but seeing I have CAD, estimating and accounting software that only run on PC, it is not worth it. Besides, Mac's are WAY to expensive for what you get. PC's now are very reliable. Mine stays on 24/7 with no issues.

Re: Entering the Modern Era

Hi: Jim Bennett...Thanks for the tip...I found it!!! As a Canadian I'm not happy being aligned with the US...but I'm not Canadian enough to be Canadian Multilingual either I'm far better off playing off the white markers. This new "All in one" HP has a 20" screen for us blind as a bat drivers...but @4 gigs way to fast for me...WOOSH!!! Alf

Hey Jim I don't blame you not wanting to risk turning your PC off and on....

Re: Entering the Modern Era

Hi: All... My old computer was so slow...it couldn't catch a "VIRUS"!!! Basically this new one is like a 20" flat screen tv with a keyboard and a mouse. Alf
