Banff is just over an hour, and I likely am in parts of the park a few times a year. Jasper is just over 4 hours, but we usually make it there once a year.

That's true! Been on the field and in the corn there. It is actually some hours from here but can't be reminded too much of the movie and all.

Close to us are The Bridges of Madison County sites, and they and that movie get similar attention.

I was a little surprised at the distance between Banff and Jasper, as one thinks, looking on the map, that it is just a short bit between them.

If you live near Edmonton it is about a 4 hr drive to Banff and a 4 hr drive to Jasper. Kind of a long ways to go to both. Banff is nice, but way more touristy and crowded than Jasper. Although I prefer Jasper, our visits to the mountain parks these days are usually to Banff to visit a son who lives there.

My assessment of the two town sites is the same. I much, much prefer Jasper, though both parks offer fantastic scenery.

I will take that as a standing offer that you are supplying the beer at these "great places". Man I love Canadian hospitality.

If I am there too, it's a deal.
