Escape 5.0TA Bench Seats Storage

Just wondering how much storage is available in the bench seats when you open them up. Is there a water or waste storage tank taking up most of the room or perhaps batteries? Thanks, Mark...

Mark, Ten Forward is set up with the u-shape dinette. Twin 6v batteries are on the back left, 1500 watt inverter in the center, embilical cord and breaker box on the back right, hotwater heater on the right. No room for anything (along back and right side).

However, the entire bench seat on the passenger side is free and clear.

Those with the standard dinette will need to answer for that build.

Hope this helps.

The power/surge protection is under the rear bench too, if you have it. Might have the solar controller too. There is a decent amount of wasted space, at least if you have the detachable power cord. If someone were creative enough they could probably come up with a way of utilizing some of it. I do have a middle leg and bench extension for cpaharley's unofficial U dinette lounge bench secured in there when not in use. Being wood I don't worry about it shorting anything.

Donna, when you say "left" and "right" do you perhaps mean your left and right when standing in the trailer looking toward the back? That would make
left = curb side / passenger's side
right = street side / driver's side
and everything would be as expected (e.g. power cord on street/driver's side, where services are normally located).

All Escape fresh water tanks are under the floor. All grey waste tanks are under the floor, too. Black waste tanks are on top of the floor, under the toilet; they can extend into an adjacent cabinet, but the toilet is not adjacent to the dinette in a 5.0TA.

End result: no tanks under the 5.0 or 5.0TA dinette, or under the rear dinette in any Escape model.

Thanks everyone for the info. I'm starting to like the Escape trailers more and more. The fact they seem the least troubled by leaks and water damage is a big plus in my books. Never thought of the 5.0TA as I was looking at the 19, but I can see a lot of perks to the 5th wheel.

Yeah, Brian. I was thinking of looking out the back window.

I have a 2014 TA.
On the driver's side (LHS), the storage locker has the hot water tank and power cord. Not much room for other storage.
On the RHS I have the 12V battery in box with breather tube, my solar controller, and connection wire. About half of the volume is suitable for some storage.

I find that there is plenty of storage for 2 adults and one dog. The storage space under the loft step is very large. I store the solar panel in that space, and still have room available.
