Escape delivery
Can anyone post photos or descriptions of an Escape being unloaded from the delivery truck/trailer? Thanks in advance.

Anybody know roughly what the delivery rates are. If we sell our 5.0 into the US that could be an option that I could present to any potential US buyers (especially since it snowed in Calgary yesterday!)
Thanks, Mark

A rough figure is $1 US per mile. Be sure it is with a licensed and insured shipper. With the advent of uShip, anyone with a tow vehicle is offering their services, at cut rate prices.

In our case, living in North Carolina, we realized that we were looking at a $3400 or so bill to get the trailer delivered to us. We were extremely fortunate to be at a stage in our lives where we were at the cusp of retirement. So, after much deliberation, we made the decision that we would pay ourselves the $3400 and pick it up and bring it home at the same time that we began retirement. It was the trip of a life time that we will always treasure. And the icing on the cake is that the Escape is worth that much more when the time comes to sell because it is 3,000 miles from the factory!

Because of vacation (or lack thereof) we had the option of delivery in mid-summer of 2013, or waiting until late summer of 2014 to pick it up. We chose delivery, so that we'd get to use it a year earlier.

I think the going rate for delivery from ETI is around $1.25/mile, depending on the number of trailers/load.
