Hi: Jim Bennett... Thanks for the little ditty!!! Ya'll will get a chance in the line dance when the "Flag waves" at the rally.
Yesterday we took a side trip to Surrey for a Spitfire 180 BBQ, and then a decor run thru Wall-o- mart for scatter rugs and cushions to throw at each other!!! Stock the fridge and it's time to tow. Alf

Are you leaving for Osoyoos Wednesday morning? Donna and I might see you on the road. (Not literally.)

Alf, What's a Spitfire 180? Anything to do with the plane or the car?

We're leaving North Van. on Wednesday morning but we're stopping in Manning Park for the night. Might see you on the road also.

We are sitting at Nk'Mip and thought for sure the first 5.0 TA to pull in would be the "Escape Hatch 11" , however we just saw one go by with bright red truck ......can't be Alf and MaryAnne.......their truck is white ?

I would have guessed Steveston Marine in Langley, which is almost in Surrey.

Hmmm... if inspired by the plane it might be too expensive to fuel and maintain, and if inspired by the reliability of the car meals might not be available regularly.

We have a Triumph Spitfire. Fun, but I don't know if I want that much fun running a barbecue.

Hi: All... Yes the Spitfire is a BBQ. It's built like a brick s**t house. Bought the heat control to replace the regulator so it hooks to the quick connect on the trailer. Did a small Reace approved mod to the front storage compartment door flange and it fit right in there.
The 5.0TA is perfection made better. The difference in a word is "Unreal". Not to much changed in towing/performance but man these Rockies are impressive. Passes average 3-5,000 feet high and most grades are 7&8% up or down. Yahoo!!! Alf

Hi: All... Well folks the numbers are crunched and using the filling point of the Sweetgrass Casino at Harris Mich. as we stopped on the way west, and back east again for gas.
Frontier and 5.0 = 15.76 mi./US Gal.
Frontier and 5.0TA = 14.62 mi./ US Gal.
What happened in the mountains stays in the mountains.
Now I need some aspirins for my head ache!!! Alf
