The gutters above the windows give a clue as to why Escape is discontinuing the frameless windows. Leaks.

It would also seem there's a quality consistency problem. Several friends who have the frameless awning style windows with no rain gutters above have not had any issues with leaks. A shame that Hehr doesn't apparently have better quality control.

A while back I saw that someone post a few pictures of a white gutter they used. Not sure of the brand...but I kinda like it.

We have an old 2008 trailer and we used the black gutter stuff around the windows... I almost always keep the back windows open a few inches and it has prevented the bedding from getting soaked in a downpour.

The material is very pliable rubber so it isn't rigid like the molded gutters I have seen on other RVs.We have seen a lot of rain since installed with no water intrusion but the leaky window was replaced so I may have been leak free without the gutters but I like the insurance of having them. Now if I could get them to stay closed...

Do it on a warm day and let the stuff sit out in the sun for a bit, it comes out better if it's more pliable.

My only issue with our 2017 Escape 21' is that every time I see it sitting under our carport, I experience a strong urge to hitch it up and go camping. I think it's an Escape-induced addiction...

Hi: War Eagle... Seems like you got an urgent case of "Fiberglass flu". At least your "Flu" strain can't be complicated by "Twofootitis"... for now!!! Alf
