Hmm. She said the white truck had "3500" on its side. I was told that both RAM and Chevy have a 3500. But then of course my cousin might have seen some other type of RV entirely; she's not familiar with Escapes (other than the one I have) and it's tricky ID'ing a vehicle you're passing on the highway that you see only for a few seconds.

To clarify. Duallies are two tires and wheels on the end of one axle. Tandem axles are two separate axles which have either one or two tires and wheels on each end of the axle. The park guys knew they were gonna have a long day when they got a flat on the inside dual on the rear tandem axle on a muddy day. A cheater is an additional axle that can be lowered when excessive weight is being hauled. And a Canadian Spread is a moveable trailer axle that can be adjusted forward to better distribute support for a heavy load. I will at times sing the Boy Scout classic There's 18 wheels on a big rig. But I gotta have a lot of beer in me.

We are at Dry Prairie campground in Myakka River State Park in Florida. Two other 21's across the the road in adjacent campground. Small world.

Carl,

How do you like the Myakka River State Park? I may try to stay there next February. I couldn't get in last month because all the sites were reserved.

As I was heading back to Seattle today from Oregon, I spotted a 21 footer heading south on I5 at appx 1PM and appx 25 miles south of Chehalis. Pulled by a black (or very dark) SUV (or pickup with canopy, but I don't think so from the brief flash I had of it) and red graphics on the trailer.

(And 25 Toyota FJ Cruisers on the road in both directions during the entire drive home - I always count them when I take a road trip; something to while away the hours. Yeah, I have an FJ.)

That was us in RV Sue's blog. Buenos Aires Natl Wildlife Refuge is our most favorite place to camp. Peaceful, serene, quiet and reminds us of Africa.

I used to tow my 19' with a FJ, other than a little squat in the rear, it handled fine. Then when I got BlackJack I went back to towing with my Ram. So I traded the FJ on my Subaru Forester which gave me cash back as the FJ was worth more than the Subaru. Now, a year later, I'm trading the Subaru for the new Mustang, so in effect, I traded my FJ for the Mustang.??
