Myakka is a neat place. Lots of wildlife and fishing opportunity. Boat ride and tram is good. Skywalk is interesting. Good place for bikes. Tends to be a bit humid compared to closer to the coast.

We were at Dry Prarie campground. It is older and pretty decent. Gravel and dirt driveway so kind of dusty. Shower house had a common dressing area that was a bummer.

Later I discovered Palmetto Ridge campground across the road. It may be the nicest campground I've ever seen. Huge gravel sites, wide paved roads with pedestrian bike markings, beautifull shower houses, some pull through sites and at least some sewer hook ups. It is sites 49-90. Dry Prarie is twenty something thru 48. I assume reservations for Palmetto fill early. It must be very new. If I go back I will try to get into Palmetto.

Forgot to mention I had a sighting on St. Patrick's Day! I was staying in Amado, AZ but went up to Gilbert Ray Campground in Tucson to meet up with a friend from home who was staying there. There was a 19' (I think) with silver/gray graphics and silver/gray Toyota tow vehicle, Wahington plates.

2 Escape sightings today as we head south on i5. First we saw Sandi and her new fifth wheel stopped at the same rest area!
Then we passed a 19 heading north on the 5 near Kelso, Washington

Hi Mary and Kevin!
I made it to Jefferson, OR tonight. A long day driving but smooth. Seattle traffic was better than the trip up but it was stop and go thru Portland. Was getting off work time and so much traffic. Nice to see you at the rest stop.

We took 205 around Portland - arrived at Sandy beach around 4pm. Funny we pulled off at the same rest area. You are amazing! Jefferson, Oregon with the on off rain and traffic in Portland and Seattle, traveling solo! Our hats are off to you! You go girl!

Apr. 2:
We were able to get away for a couple of days up the CA coast to Montana De Oro S.P., and while on a walk through the campground, encountered a new 21. It was Ned and Carla Jean, down from WA, with their Jan. 2016 Escape 21. We had met them at the Fall NOG, so it was nice to renew the acquaintance.
Looks like this is what is typical of what's in store for us once I retire at the end of the year.
