Passed a 19 near Yellowstone

On Thursday, July 30, traveling NW out of West Yellowstone we spotted a 19 heading towards Yellowstone on Hwy. 287 in Montana. This has been the only one we have seen on our travels to Seattle from St. Louis.

Due to scheduling we did not have time to tour Grand Teton or Yellowstone, but we drove through them. We entered from the South and exited via the West entrance. We had but a few cars at the South entrance but there was a huge line getting into the West entrance. Line went all the way into the town of West Yellowstone and up the street. Avoid that entrance if possible.

When we arrived on Aug.31 two trailers, one of them a classic E21, were occupying the double site right next to ours. Our neighbours, one of them strumming an acoustic guitar, saw our Escape and smilingly made a "there goes the neighbourhood" joke, but our friends from another site arrived while we were setting up, so we decided to meet our neighbours the next morning. The chance never came, as both trailers had pulled out, seemingly soundlessly, before 8 am. Perhaps another time!

We were in our black Tundra towing our classic E21 north on the Old Island Highway mid-afternoon on Sept. 3 when we passed a southbound Escape 21 right in the heart of downtown Fanny Bay. I didn't catch the details of the tow vehicle. Hope those folks enjoyed the flawless camping weather that we are still enjoying.

On my recent 1200 mile loop through northern california with a detour to nevada, I saw several Escapes, and more than a few Casitas, but I didn't take notes.

Northbound from Nakusp, E21, doing the Hot Springs Tour like us. In the campground talked to Norm, just put down his deposit on an E19 and another person that was at ETI last week.

While riding my e-bike at about 10 am today (Sept. 12) I saw an Escape 21 towed by a white full-size pickup headed south on Waveland Road just north of Comox, BC. It might have been headed to the Comox to Powell River ferry, or toward the Island Highway.

Sightings

E21@ Mesa Verde. Couple from Georgia on 9/1. On 9/3, waved at Mystic Wanderer in Cortez CO. E19 going south on Hwy 97, that was headed towards Klamath or Crater Lake. Those fires & smoke are horrible. We left Crater Lake & had to go 150 miles extra just to get to Maryhill, WA.

Sorry we missed you. We had a two week trip from Victoria to Cape Scott, no reservation. Loved every spot we stayed in. Provincial, private. Regional and forestry sites. Next time we will give ourselves 4 to 6 weeks. The weather was perfect. We saw many Escape trailers.

Shout out to the 15 or 17 (I just caught a glimpse) headed southbound on 101 in Washington, just a bit south of the Quinault Lodge area. We’ve been out for a little over a week now, and this is the first Escape we’ve seen.

Two so far!

I headed west from Asheville NC after the holiday and saw an Escape 17 and a 19, on I40. One was headed east and the other west. Currently in Jackson, WY and no there sightings of Escapes. Have seen several Casitas, a few Scamps, and a Big Foot truck camper. Lots of stickies, but I always keep my eyes peeled for Escapes and other fiberglass campers. Travel On, folks, just be safe! ✌🏼

Yesterday 17Sept about 2pm southbound on the (Vancouver) Island Highway near Cobble Hill.
Escape 17 with a grey Nissan Pathfinder towing it.

They seemed to be hustling ... so probably heading to the ferry.
Only one I've seen on the road in a while...other than a neighbours and ours.

Where have you stayed? I'd like to do that loop with some friends so curious as to what the best campgrounds are.
