Tons of trailers on the road, but only saw one Escape 5.0 today going southbound on 101 north of Shelton about 1 PM. Also a 21 (or 19?) at Grayland but never got a chance to stop by and meet them.

There's a 21 parked at Doran Regional Park in Bodega Bay, I just arrived in my 5.0 and drove past, but looks like no one was home at the time. I'm in the Jetty campground, come say hi!

“It's Father's day weekend and the Oregon Coast is mobbed. We found a quiet RV park outside of Newport and are keeping out of sight until Monday. “

Same here near PismoBeach. We’ve never seen such traffic jams in town an on 101 amazing.

Ran into Paul (Padre) and his lovely wife and their beautiful 2020 5.0 as we arrived at Assateauge Island, MD today. Wonderful camping spot with the wild horses roaming.

That's me! I picked up my 17 yesterday and saw no Escapes on the drive home.
It's in front until my talented and helpful neighbors help me park it at 90 degrees in our dead end alley in the back. I guess you missed me in the Shopko lot working on my backing up skills this afternoon. I have lots to learn.

Feel free to knock on the door and say hello!

Haha. I practiced backing at the Shopko parking lot yesterday! Got creeped out by all the random people just parked there. The practice paid off and we got it parked in our narrow driveway, safe and sound. Next time we see your trailer, we’ll say hi!

I was able to get a look at Rubicon's mini-split mod. Very nice. The interior air handler looks like it was done factory.
Lately I've been doing quite a few ambassador showings. When asked what we would do different, I tell people We would forgo factory air and get after market minisplit or on roof heat pump.

Paul: Thanks for the compliment. Rip that Dometic off the roof and check these out https://www.recpro.com/rv-air-conditioners/

Paul coming back in to the campground this morning I got a few shots of horses and noticed your trailer in the background. Thought you might like it

We're from Minnesota and rarely turn on the AC at our condo. OTOH, my starter wife not only have to have AC on all summer/spring/fall, but a fan blowing on her at night. Terry is the complete opposite.

We vacillated back and forth on the AC, but made the choice to include AC in our build. Big mistake! In nearly 400 nights on the road we have yet to use the AC. We sure would like a skylight in it's place though.

The more we camp the more items we don't take with us anymore. At this point we wouldn't miss the upper rear cabinet the mini-split uses.

Enjoy,

Perry

Vintage Escape sighting

At Gooseberry Provincial Recreation Area in Alberta. Looks like maybe 2005-ish Escape 17? Note the Escape name in all caps - anyone know when ETI switched the name to mixed case?

I'm a bit late with this report but it was a long trip. On June 8 in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State and National Park I saw the first other 5.0 TA since we got ours over 2 years ago. We had the pleasure of meeting Kavindra and Katharina. They were on their maiden voyage home to Salt Lake City after picking up in sumas. Great meeting you both stay in touch.

The 15 was mine, the other is a 17 owned by my friends Dave and Patty in Wyoming. Not sure if they frequent this board or not. We went camping up in the Wind River Range in the Shoshone NF after the museum (which is great BTW).

We camped for several days a few miles north of Dubois about 25 + years ago. Had great trout fishing. The bighorn sheep museum there was very interesting too. In the Shoshone language, Shoshone meant sheep eater. They were just starting to recognize that grIzzly bears had pushed into the area and they were installing bear boxes while we were there in a Forest Service CG.

Well I couldn't believe it today walking the dog I came up on the dike protecting our town from the Red River near our town park and saw the tops of some trailers. One was lower, had a long shallow window in the front then a small rectangular one behind, then a dinette window all looking especially like the top of an Escape 5.0TA. The sloped roof with solar was a bit of a giveaway as well. So of course I had to continue into the park and yes I was right, the only other Escape I've seen in our town other than Iowa Dave's when he visited. The couple are from Flin Flon eight hours NORTH of Winnipeg and are visiting his brother who lives around the corner from our son and family. He doesn't frequent the forum but got some tips regarding hooking up with the Andersen hitch.
