Anza-Borrego State Park, CA
Spotted Janet & Larry with their Escape 19 in Anza Borrego State Park. They were nice enough to give Ann & I (plus friends) a tour of their lovely trailer; our first time seeing an Escape 19 in person. Turns out they are friends with Kim and Howard, the ambassadors that showed us their 17B and inspired us to place our order. It truly is a small friendly world with Escape owners. Can't wait to get ours, hopefully in February, although I noticed Escape has now dropped the word "guaranteed" from delivery date.

I was just that way on Nov 4th, heading towarrds Borrego Springs, pulling my E21 with a white F250 longbed that has a body-matched shell... Wait, tho, we were on 79 and S22 on the 4th, we visited Julian on the 7th without the trailer, and took 79 towards Sandy Eggo on the 8th.
ok, never mind
same rig may have been spotted from San Diego to Buena Park on the 10th, then Buena Park to Santa Maria on the 12th, and up US101 to Santa Cruz on the 16th.

Passed a 5.0 with Texas plates on the New Jersey turnpike around the 18th of October. It was the only Escape trailer we saw on our 8000 miile e trek across the country . In fact only saw 2-3 fibreglass trailers in total, a few casitas and a scamp.

Near Fredericksburg TX
At 11:30 am, Saturday, Nov 27, 2021, spotted an Escape (maybe 21’) parked at the Wildseed Farms, on US highway 290 (100 Legacy Dr) near Fredericksburg, TX. We passed by going east with our E19 headed home.

Escape 19 at Florida Caverns SP. No decals and no vehicle so couldn’t speak with owners. We were just there on a day trip.

You missed the Escape 21 in site A56 (Me). I left today for Picacho Peak, and Monday to Lost Dutchman.

Santa's helpers are on their way to deliver a new 19 and a 5.0. Saw the flatbed rolling East on I-80 at about the 300mm just West of Rawlins, WY today. Hope they arrive safely - it was brutally windy in WY - saw several semi-trailers blown over and off the road today.

We had 55 mph gusts yesterday. It’s been windy for a couple days but has settled down now..
I’ve seen the delivery rig a couple times over the years. Once in Columbus, Montana where the forest fire smoke was so heavy my photograph looked black and white. I met the new owners later at the Niagara Wine Escape. They were from New Jersey.

On my way to Reno/Sparks yesterday I passed an Escape 19 being pulled by a Tacoma, I think, just north of Carson City Nevada in Washoe Valley on I-580/US395 in a little wintery blast of snow/rain and wind mix. Looked like maybe Washington plates but not sure.

Escape at Canyon Lake Texas
Hi Y’all!
We’ve never spotted another Escape while traveling except for yesterday. We were driving around the southside of Canyon Lake, which is just north of San Antonio, Texas.
Driving into Cranes Mill campground, we spotted someone with a white pick up truck in front of an Escape .21, camping there!
We would’ve stopped in to say hello, but the gentleman looked like he was taking a nap in his lounge chair, so we didn’t want to bother him. He looked comfy!

Our new year sighting
Saturday, Jan 1, 2022, about 12:35 CST, on I-10, at MM 23, near Sulphur, LA, we spotted our first Escape of the year - a 5.0 headed west. We’re were traveling east with our E19 in tow behind our silver Sprinter van, with our destination near Pensacola, FL. Safe travels, and may your 2022 include lots of Escape Trailer time.

Do you have a preference towing between the QX80 and Sprinter?

That was our 5.0 headed back to North Texas. We had just spent the week in the Pensacola area. Sorry but we didn't see y'all and actually we've never seen an Escape on the road. Guess maybe we need to be more observant. Hope you have wonderful time and safe travels.

I've known a bunch of Sprinter owners over the year, including a couple commercial fleet managers... once upon a time, one ran a large fleet of service vans for a few decades. the early Sprinters with the pre-bluetech 5 cyl were gutless and slow but reliable and went high miles. the newer ones were extremely expensive, and after more than a few total engine failures, they unloaded the whole fleet at great loss and switched to the new Ford Transit vans. I'm only driving my Ford F250 7.3 diesel because it predates DEF and DPF, and is generally much simpler to keep running long times.

Neat to see y'all traveling west on New Year's Day. We will hold down the Pensacola area for ya. Hope our paths cross where we can say hello directly.

Arrived at Lost Dutchman SP AZ last Wed to find a 17 and 19 here as well as 2 Olivers a Scamp, a Casita, and a Bigfoot 25RQ. Today a 21 arrived. Almost a mini rally!

New 21C headed east
Friday, January 14, at 9:00 am on I-10, Alabama mm 4, a new 21C passed by on a flatbed truck headed east. Wonder where it’s new home will be?
The rear section of the flatbed trailer was empty. Hope that the empty space means another Escape found its new owners.
