Lodge Grass

Wednesday afternoon about 4:30 we saw a sharp
5.0 TA eastbound on I90 near the battlefield at Little Big Horn in SW Montana pulled by a blue ( I believe) pickup. She looked pretty sharp. If you've been on I90 in Montana you might remember seeing the sign Beartooth Range with an arrow pointing South. Smoke in the air did not allow us to see past the first ridge yesterday let Alone the many miles Down to the backbone of the earth.

Yeppers, the I90 shuffle is a nice trip, but not one to dance to.

We may have seen the same 5.0 TA on I90 just east of the Badlands today (Thursday) at about 1pm. It's our first Escape sighting since we left home in Texas. We are in the Badlands for a few days before heading to Rapid City and on to Custer SP near the Black Hills.

Lots to see and do around Custer state Park. We stopped in Livingston today for fuel.
Dave and his wife from Manhattan Mt. Approached us. It was just chance they were in town today. They pick up their new 22 in a couple weeks and had not seen one. So a tour on the tarmac was in order. He thought he might have been able to get his old. Casita inside of the 21. In NW Montana tonight,,,,,,,,Smokey tried to recruit me onto a hotshot crew but I told him my axe, buckle and shove it days were over,.

Highly recommend the Jeep tour early in the morning. The buffalo and other animals take shelter during the middle part of the day. We took a 6AM tour because the buffalo, deer, and other animals are up and roaming. Saw thousands of buffalo and lots of pronghorn deer. The drivers know where the animals are within the park. You could also just drive the wildlife loop (especially the gravel roads) and likely find them too.

If you drive the wildlife loop, and you want donkey slobber on your interior, take triscuits and feed the begging burros. To me it's a riot. The Buffalo roundup in late September is quite an extravaganza . Some may not like it, I really enjoyed it complete with the dignifairies on horseback who just sat in the saddle. If you drift as far south as hot springs, the mastodon dig is fascinating. Met some people yesterday who had been digging dinosaur bones in Clark county Montana near Ekalaka. My grandson has a toe bone he found on a dig there that's on display there. The Dino Shindig is getting more popular. If you're in Broadus Montana look up Craig OGorman a fellow Iowan and one of the finest coyote men in the country. But I digress ADHD got me again.

Sighting on hwy 19 Nanaimo, BC

We took the motorbike out for a ride today (trying to pass the time until our Nov 21st pick up date). And on our way home from Chemanius we passed a 13ft Escape called "Ladybug". So cute
