Four Escape Sightings in three days Oregon coast

This was just our fifth trip in our new Escape. We were on the Oregon coast April 28 to 30. I had notice only a handful of Escapes since we first became interested over a year ago. The last two days we saw 4 other Escapes between Waldport and Florence, Oregon. Two at Tillicum Beach Forest ServiceCampground where we stayed, one at Beachside State Park and one south of Yachets on highway 101. Gosh Escape trailers are the "in thing" right now. I never had an "in thing before".

She includes the latitude/longitude, as well, and she responds to my emails quickly. We have received updates from her every two years. So having said that, I would venture to guess that boondockerswelcome.com would be a good addition to your other camping resources even though it may be in its infancy. I certainly wouldn't rely on it exclusively. Having dealt with her through Frugal RV, I would give it a chance.
Thank you- I will look into it further. I did find some RV friendly Airbnb, too. The suggestions on the forum are great also!

We just returned from two months in Arizona. Saw a few Escapes along the way.

3/6/2016 Saw an Escape 15 going N between Las Vegas & Kingman, we were going S.

3/6/2016 Likely saw an Escape 5th wheel in downtown Kingman. We were entering the freeway and think we saw them across the intersection at the stop light.

3/20/2016 An Escape 19 outside Sam Simon on I10 going west, we were going east.

3/29/2016 Saw an Escape 17 in the Gilbert Ray CG outside Tucson. We camped there a few days while they were also there. It could be the same one Nindy saw St. Patrick's Day, with the time gap isn't right?

4/25/2016 Feeling we hadn't seen many Escapes on the trip the most amazing thing happened. We stopped at Valley of Fire on April 25. On the way in to the campground we saw and followed an Escape. It was going pedal to the metal knowing exactly where it was going. They disappeared around the back loop of the small campground while we stayed in the main loop. Later found out it was an Escape 15 from Washington/Baja owned by Bill & Dori.

Then, to our amazement, an Escape 19 came in followed by an Escape 17. The 19 is a 2011 model from Chilliwac and the 17 is brand new and on its way back to Ontario.

We all stayed that night, which was cool and rainy. For some time there were more Escapes in the campground than all other models combined. How's that for luck hu?

SO, does anyone here resemble any of these sightings?

Wow, that is surprising! Escapes are getting more and more common, and with the factory expansion.....

Two other Escapes were camped at Green Point in Pacific Rim National Park on May 12 and 13: a 5.0TA in Site 87, with a RAM pickup as TV; and an Escape 17 in Site 45, towed by a VW SUV. We didn't intrude on the owners' privacy and enjoyment of that beautiful campground, but it was nice to see some Escapes among the SOBs. Counting our Escape 21, three quarters of the current Escape product line was represented there on those nights.

I had a pretty good look at a beautiful Escape 21 this morning. It was the Spirit of the Plains, piloted by Loren P. and it came down my driveway. We had a good visit. He was on his way back to Kansas. He's got a very nice 21 and he pulls it with a good looking GMC pickup that's loaded with accessories including a 50 gallon fresh water tank. Might have been cheating as a sighting but it was great to meet Loren. He was listening to the Willis Bros doing Give me Forty acres as he circled the propane tank and headed for the Sundlower state. Thanks for stopping Loren, that was fun.

In Livermore, Ca.

At 11:45 am today, Debbie saw an Escape northbound on Arroyo Rd. at the intersection of Concannon. She thinks it had red graphics and had a couple of bikes on the back. Was that you Art M? Maybe coming back from a long weekend?

Hi Catchlight. That was me in site 45 with the 17B, I thought the same thing, I didn't want to intrude on someone's privacy. LOL;I guess we shouldn't be so shy!

Must be a Canadian thing! As an "Ugly American" I've walked right up and introduced myself if folks were outside.

When Escapes are as common as SOBs, I'll worry about privacy. Till then, I want to know who owns that cool trailer....

After folks meet me, only then do they realize I am stranger.

Jim I believe you have a typo, you must have inadvertently put an "r" on the end of strange [emoji23]
