Escape sighting?

I am always looking for that ever elusive Escape trailer when I travel. I was in the Okanagan this past weekend and did see as many as 7 or 8 Escape trailers on the way up. OK so 2 of them were the ones ETI has parked in the farmers field in Chilliwack and the others were sitting in their yard. Does that count as an Escape sighting?

As an aside, what I have noticed while traveling is that many RV's I did see were either new or newish or old Boilers and Trilliums. A vintage 'stickie' is a rare find. A definite testament to the durability of fiberglass trailers.

When we hit the open road we always keep an eye out for fiberglass trailers of any sort. They are pretty rare here in the Midwest and have only see a couple of Scamps, several beat up Casitas, and nary an Escape. We have never seen an Escape yet but I guess we missed our chance when cpaharley2008 blew through KC on I 70 a few weeks ago. If we would have known he was staying at a KOA just east of here he would have had company. Anyway, we'll keep watching. Loren

Hi Loren and Cathy

We'll be stopping on our way south for a few days at our daughter's just a few miles north of you in Leavenworth sometime in Jan. You could come see ours. Have you ordered yours yet? Which one?

We'll keep you in mind as things are slow around here in January. We are headed for Chilliwack at the end of August and will see everything that Escape has to offer. We will make our decision then. Loren

Reace and I, just got back from holidays and during this trip we saw two Escape Trailers (not including the ones at the rally...that would be 27).

The first one was right at the start on the Guide Meridan just outside of Bellingham and the second one as we were entering the Crater Lake National Park through the south entrance there was a 17' Escape stopped on the other side of the road.

All we could do was honk and wave as there was road construction.

I've been back and forth between Edmonton and southern B.C. a few times a year for the last few years. I don't think there has been a trip on which I have not seen various moulded fiberglass travel trailers, and probably at least one Escape each time... but Escapes are still far outnumbered by decades of production of Trilliums, Bolers, and Bigfoots (Bigfeet?). This is definitely a long-term game - with products that last for decades, Escape sightings will become more and more common.

Here in the Edmonton area, Escape sightings are still relatively uncommon for me... but then, I don't go to campgrounds here and my local highway time is typically during the rush hours.

I don't see many Scamps, but then a Scamp 1300 and a Boler 1300 are essentially identical so I might be missing them. I'm not sure that I've ever seen a Casita. The location of the manufacturer is quite relevant: despite the fact that all brands can be taken anywhere, people to tend to stay with relatively close suppliers, especially with these direct-from-factory brands. People living across the continent from Chilliwack and still buying Escapes is a strong statement about the appeal of the product and the company which makes it.

You got that right. Here in South Texas, Casitas are thicker than mosquitos. Can't wait for all the local Casita owners to go when they see what we're towing.

Does anybody have a count of how many, and of each size, Escape Trailers have been made?

Not much chance of that, I would think. But, who knows.

Hi people! I live in Everett and just saw my first Escape on the road! It was a 19'. Will be getting mine end of Sept. Will be towing a 17' with a dodge Dakota 5.9 lt engine. I'm hoping I won't need an extra hitch? Any knowledge on that subject? What a great forum, thanks everybody, Craig
