Yesterday, on our way home from Yellowstone an Escape 15 passed us going west at mile marker 178, I-70, just east of Green River, Utah. No chance to wave... happened so fast.

We picked up our Escape 19 on 8/18, and camped in Washington state for the next two weeks. Then we spent a week meandering to our home in Des Plaines, IL. In all that time I saw only one Escape. It was a '17' with blue decals, on Int. 90 a little East of Rapid City, SD on 9/8.

We were coming back from Chilliwack and around noon on 9/7, we passed a 17 with blue, eastbound on I 90 in Spokane, Washington. It's probably a safe bet this was the same elderly gentleman. This was the only Escape we saw in 4300 miles with the exception of all of the ones in Reace and Tammy's lot. Loren

Just enjoyed happy hour with Harris & Ellen Tobias from Charlottesville, Virginia. They recently picked up their new 19' and are heading east. We are heading west, and home. Ran into one another at Princeton Municipal RV Park.

Too cool - I met Harris & Ellen in Nanaimo last evening. I just picked up my new 21 on Friday. We were two 'new' Escapes in the same park. Their 19 is really nice :-)

And yet, no photographic evidence of that

I would love to see some photos!

Heading out of Vancouver area on the freeway last Sunday morning--we saw 4 Escapes before Hope--1 19, 2 -17 and I think a 15.....Since then have been to Stewart BC/Terrace and now in Smithers--nary an Escape to be seen.
Saw a number of Bolers and trilliums though...

BTW we took our trailer and vehicle over a scale again and lost 100 pounds from our trip in the summer--- a lot less "stuff" but same 2 week trip....

We had the pleasure of meeting Dave and Rita with their Escape 19 in the Wall, SD RV parking lot. We wish them safe travels.

We've been on the road for two weeks plus a day in BC, AB, and Montana, and have only seen two Escapes, both 15-footers, and both headed west on the Crowsnest--one around Midway two weeks ago, and one on the Kootenay Pass four days later.

Lots of people have asked us about our 21', toured it, and mentioned their interest in following up with ETI, so the wait time for new units might not be getting shorter any time soon.

We've met some nice folks who own Casitas, one friendly couple who just rebuilt an ancient Boler (including real hardwood floors, not veneer!), and some equally pleasant folks who own small to medium-sized SOBs. In our limited experience we've found the larger the RV, the less likely we are to see the owners outside of their unit. Presumably, they have everything they need inside, or perhaps they are older folks with mobility issues.

recent sightings

Just returned from visiting our son in Whitehorse and spotted 2 Escapes parked for winter at RV Parks just south of town. We flew to Whitehorse as we only had a week, but are really looking forward to Escaping to Yukon and Alaska in June/July 2015. It's a beautiful region and so much to explore! There are certainly lots of campgrounds to check out.

Then last Thur, Oct 16th, I followed a 15 or 17'er towed behind a dark blue SUV into Nelson BC - they headed south toward Salmo. The LED running lights looked sharp!

When we were camping at Davis Creek, near Kaslo BC, in August, we pulled into a camping spot that a couple had just vacated - the neighbour camper told us the couple were heading to Chilliwack to pick up their new Escape. Small world - too bad we missed them as would have been fun to chat.

love these sightings!
Anni
