Glenn,
I didn’t know you did some of your book learnin’ in the states.
I guess that’s how you know a little about most things.
You never know, maybe being exposed to the Tribune as a yute, had a lasting effect.

Regarding the correct number of Canadian Provinces, I admit I don't have a clue. Would the Channel Islands count? Oh wait, wrong state. Believe it or not many Americans think New Mexico is not part of the US. We here are very sensitive about this. I got my education in New Jersey so I know these things.

What Bill meant to say instead of: "a little", actually: "so little"

Back to Dave's photo, congrats for getting on the Escape homepage. Alf will be disappointed that his white and gold combo photo is now history.

Hi: emers382... Thanks for the nod but I'm still there after all these years. Top and bottom of the 5.0TA section. You just have to look a little harder. Alf

Clearly a white Ram with the 5.0TA is a winning combination!

I think Alf's original combo was even better though. Hope he doesn't mind me posting this pic, it's in the gallery.

I'll second this. I think I've seen this on this site... "New Mexico... It's not new and it's not Mexico". Probably the grammar teachers need to talk to the history and geography teachers.
I'll get back on topic. Your rig and photo are awesome David. Congrats on both!

I always knew New Mexico was in the Union, however, I have my doubts about New Jersey. Even Oregon lets you pump your own fuel now at some stations.

New page looks good, but it's a bit painful on anything but really fast internet. The main background image is resized down around 5x for display, although that may be partly so it looks good on really big screens or resizes well across a lot of resolutions.
The bigger issue is the "merchandise" images down in the lower right. They're downloaded as massive images, then resized down about 2000x. It's all cached, so repeat visits aren't bad, but the initial load is over 13MB. The barely-visible bottom background image is losslessly compressed for some reason and about 5-10x the size it needs to be.
The individual trailer pages are similar. The one for the 17' mostly has images similar to the display size, except one that's close to 100x larger. 22MB for the page. Weirdly, the banner on the 19' page is a tiny overcompressed image resized to large.
The page render time of 600ms+ is on the high side as well, though it's probably a bit more involved of a fix compared to the images (but it might be worth it, since it's painful on every pageload and not just the first)
