Everywhere I go, people ask about my Escape 21

I'm currently on my second trip in my Escape 21, a three-week jaunt to photograph waterfalls in northern Alabama and Georgia with my mighty Linhof, and to visit friends. Both on this trip and the initial trek back from BC in the spring I have been asked about my trailer at almost every stop.

This weekend I'm getting my nerd on at the Georgia State Hamfest, held at the fairgrounds in Lawrenceville, where I'm camped out. While eating lunch today in the trailer I heard a couple of guys talking outside. I opened the door, assuming they were admiring my antenna mast. But one of the men has an older fiberglass trailer and had just heard about the Escape. I answered all of his questions and gave him a brief tour.

My last stop, at Amicalola Falls State Park, was an exception to this. No one showed interest in the Escape, especially the young redhead tent camping two sites down from me. That's too bad-- as she looked cold, and lonely. :-)

I do have the cards Tammy gave me, and I give them out when I think about it. But usually the people who ask me about the trailer have already discovered Escape and have visited ETI's website, like the guy I talked to today. I told him about the forum website as well.

Hot buttered rums, hmm.... She seemed to be in obvious need of a much older man to help her warm up in his nice trailer. But seriously-- I was a bit worried about her. I asked the women camped between us about the young woman, and they told me she was doing was I was doing: going on vacation. But she is in a tent and I have a camper, and it's supposed to freeze tonight. If I run into her again on this trip (and I might), I'll offer her a tour of the Escape.
