The Jensen is specifically made for RVs and 12 volts. I assume the cord is built to be hard wired in, so either I figure that out or I wire a round plug on it. This seems doable.... ordering now, of course it is twice as much as the one I will be returning. Oh well it is only money right?

Do you want a TV that costs twice as much and is built to last a long time, or one that you can afford to replace in a year or two when 4K 3D TVs drop in price to under $200? Not suggesting they will. Just posing the question.

i just want a tv with a good picture that will work on 12V.... I don't want/need a DVD player....I guess if it had one we could watch the 1000 DVDs we have in the basement though.... I would like an easy installation too.

I have that same Samsung TV and use an inexpensive 150 watt inverter to run it. The inverter plugs into the 12 volt outlet in the trailer while the TV plugs into the inverter.
I also use the inverter to run a table radio when I only get reruns of Law and Order on the TV.

That works, but is less efficient than running direct 12V.

Some have had good results with a regular 110v household TV and the converter/cord. Some have not. Some of the ones with a built in DC PS and cord also have upgraded electronics that are designed to handle vibration and temperature changes which may occur while being used on the road. I would go with the one designed for travel/rv use. Personal preference.

That means a cord that has the right connector for the TV on one end, and the wires just end with no connector on the other end. This sort of cord is usually intended for permanent wiring into a 12 VDC circuit in the vehicle, but you could install a lighter-style plug on the end of it, available from Radio Shack and similar stores.

Right - you can add a connector the plain-end ("blunt cut") cord, or use a cord that already has a lighter plug on it.
Permanently connecting the wire so it just protrudes from the cabinet (through a grommet to finish the hole and protect the wires) would be more reliable than a plug connection, but of course is more work and is specific to this TV.
The smaller TV in my motorhome is a 15" 12V Jensen, and it came with the plain-end cord, as well as the AC adapter. Of course, the idiots who made the motorhome powered it from AC, instead of from DC. :

We had ETI hardwire our Jensen into the Lark's 12v system. The only problem is that when we are traveling, we take the TV down, so there is a power cord dangling out of the wall. It isn't a big deal, but on the Skylark ETI is just installing a 12v socket, and we will wire the cord to a lighter plug.

I also found a bluetooth adapter that allows the tv sound be sent to a blue tooth speaker closer to you if you are hard of hearing like I am.

So, was the wrestling with the pad or with someone you know well?

Which wall or walls did you have reinforced to mount it to?

19' - no picture - sorry. It is mounted to the back (bed side) of the fridge wall as near the aisle as possible - up against the trim. Anywhere vertically (along the edge) should be fine - there is some vertical framing behind it.
You can use a stud finder or tap to find the framing if you want to put it elsewhere. You need to mount it on the framing - not the hollow areas.

Kris,
In the 19' at either the front dinette street side or bed, street side along the corner trim is a stud that you can screw into, right next to the little piece of corner trim. That way when extended it extends toward the window away from you. Here are pic's of mine in the 21, same set up, just in the rear vs the front. Any questions?

In a 19 first you have to decide which end of the bed, fridge or stove. Then you either buy a Tv wall bracket or build a shelf. Oops... note shelf is attached behind Ben.
